There are predictions of a major EL NINO event this year. That part of the Pacific is warming up once again. It's called the Southern Oscillation. So that will affect all the weather completely across the continental USA.

Personally, I'd prefer a southern osculation on Mr Happy (if yanno what I mean)

Don't Believe It

The last El Nino, around '06 did not result in any rain worth mentioning. 😠

Remember, the claim of an El Nino is a government claim ! 🙄

Lazy, hazy weather. Tons of iddy biddy apricot and peaches in the front yard, while the back yard remains dormant.

Al Jazeera News tells me their are some historically strong winds going on in Hawai'i

<scene from the movie, "Hawaii".>

And our EA Hawai'i Weather Watcher is missing. :(

The day was warm and pleasant and due to cool down 20 degrees by the weekend.

My front yard Apricot tree is heavy with green fruit and not hardly a leaf, a nearby Peach likewise.

The Cherry Trees further on are like the Peach trees in my back - ocean facing - yard. Mostly dormant.

"My" bee hive has been doubled in size by the "bee master". I have not been stung except after a servicing.

I guess they get mad. Otherwise, I can move through them with no problems. When they got mad, I got two confirmed stings.

Nice to confirm I have No Bee Sting Allergy and my Rheumatoid Disease improved too.

The Asparagus in the veggie box are a trip. 🚬 The dried pieces have yielded sprouts that look like Asparagus fern ;)

I cannot imagine how they will morph into edible asparagus. I am willing to wait a year and cultivate a part of

my veggie box as an asparagus patch.

On the down side, my tomato plants are NOT thriving. They never do. I know when you get it right, tomatoes go like weeds.

I think I am too kind to mine. Giving them premium places in a Veggie box.

My neighbor has a point of land he does not tend to. I have artichokes regenerating there. And various projects we laugh about together. Sometimes a head of lettuce, a working tomato plant, a sprouted apricot tree leafing for the fifth year, sprouted loquat trees and occasionally giant sunflowers.

The impending cool down of 20 degrees is not going to make the tomato plants happy at all.

Tomato plants are finicky things. They never grow well in the same place twice, or so it seems...

We need to get some of those Wabash river Asian carp to bury under the plants.
