I think that their motor failed and they couldn't outrun the storm.
They were headed tot Florida and were already underway as the storm overtook them
It's sad they lost two. They had those suits that keep them warm and have the lights and radio locators on them.
But the Coast Guard cannot lift them out of a raft and they had to enter the water.
That's never a good thing in a bad sea. I'm not defending anyone I think it's premature to make a judgment.
