It started out so nice, a few high clouds, filtered sun,

a fresh, clean, cool breeze in pulses.

The smell was like after a refreshing rain but we had no rain.

Then - 😱 The Monsoon climate came in from the big, white mushroom clouds I saw beyond the mountains over MacWolf country. Humid. Oppressive. Sweaty. Not good to lungs.

I ran inside and activated my A/C. I'll be ok. 😄

The Sugar Pie pumpkins are still at the first cotyledon leaf phase but, looking deep green and sturdy.

Possible the corn is poking through or just some rye grass. Time will tell.

A few blackberries that I coddled until sweet - and they were, one could pick them a week earlier because they were still black but, tart.

A plump Mission Fig with more on the way.

Did some watering with some of my imported water.

August already and no real California Summer at the beaches.

These last three years our heat really did not happen until after Autumn.

Then again they say we are in an El Nino which means more rain for me.

Can I trust the government weather service?

we are in a drought now...32 days no rain

of course that is normal for Oregon...our dry season normally is from June till the end of September

Just spent 6 hours moving irrigation pipe with my son in the red clover fields

75 degrees and cool north wind and a few broken clouds....we watch the planes practice for the airshow over the fields while resting on our motorcycles and soaking up some vitamin d from the sun

my tranparent apples are ripe..the starlings started to hollow them out yeterday

get my shotgun out

According to radar, it's raining well at home.

I hope it's a real reading; I might have a garden left to come home to after all.

How long a trip to the ocean? Or more correctly. Where is this Island, in a river?

Gray, cold and foggy with a water temp of 50F?

What is it like. I am familiar with the Humboldt coast. And the rivers.

After a hard day farming you go to play, beach volleyball.

Makes me tired to think about it.

The NBC News showed quite a storm tract from southern Minnesota,

Across southern Wisconsin, Chicago and East through the rust belt.

And Oklahoma burns.

Anyone getting any of it?

G'luck

We Got about 1/4" or rain where I am. I hope some hit Paolo's garden...

...Leaves are falling like it is FALL already...

...if the weather does not change soon and if we don't get more rain the RUST BELT will stop rusting...

The radar looked promising the other night. I was hoping we got some of that messy looking system! i am just in awe of the green grass, healthy crops, and lively trees up here. Even green weeds growing along the road. I even saw people out using lawnmowers!
