Texas is a nice place to visit, go east tell you smell it then south tell you step in it.

Our projected high was upper 80's near 90 today. It just went up to 97F with a huge jump in humidity too - at 8PM?

Everything balances out.
I got a sprinkling in July.
Your old stompin' grounds probably got real rain.
Maybe even a flash flood. Ask yourself:
Would your lawn have been brown by now
when the Vikings grazed animals in Greenland?

Re: There's Always The Weather
NO, there was no grass here at that time. Greenland was still mostly a big sheet of ice, it was only the edges that were not, ice cores prove that.

That's right. It was old growth forest at that time. All destroyed in the 1800's.
So you could plant a lawn.
Please let me know when there are pasture grazing areas on the coast of Greenland.
Like 1000 year ago.
The good thing about Global Warming is I get moderate summers, hot autumns and imported water.
"They" say El Nino has returned. I get more rain. All is good. If we can trust, them.
Also, when the "Day After Tomorrow" effect occurs, you will be among those lost,
I will be able to evacuate to Mexico.

Re: There's Always The Weather
Rain last nite.
All night it seems I heard light rain. An occasional muffled thunder clap.
The air remained humid and too warmish.
I would not like the Tropics for sure.
Give me an irrigated desert coastline.

Look at the maps on the news websites concerning the drought. 1000 counties are declared in drought and that is not good for farming of any kind.
