What was reported yesterday is that we were finally going to get snow, Did not happen, what has happened is Ice Fishing is not happening, everything keeps falling through the ice.

Dense Fog Advisory, Day 2. The fog horn bellows at night.

The air lost that static, nasty dryness due to return, mildly, on New Year's Day.

The Weather has been kind to the Rose Parade. No howling dry Santa Ana Winds and no rain.

My preference is the parade gets cancelled because of rain.

A few more days and the holidays will be over until the next cycle.

But, will there be one? <wooooo> ;)

The heavy fog of last night, the second fog night, gave way to

78F, pleasant air, the sun could be less bright.

"They" say it will be warmer tomorrow.

My hunch is no rain until Feb/March :( If at all.

We were due a big, I say BIG snow storm, what we got was a trace. A trace means that it covers the ground in most spots but not something you can measure.

SO WHERE IS THE SNOW?

They say 1-2 inches of lake effect snow and 31 F tonight.

And 40 mph winds (it's the winds that get the trees)

The mountains east and south might actually have skiing - Seven Springs, Deep Creek, Mountaineer Park, Uniontown, Johnstown, and up to Erie PA. think that direction for more snow.

Check the weather of the Pacific N.W. IE and his neighbors are hogging all the water.

I referenced Seattle though.

My rain, your snow, and IE just let's it drain into the ocean.

I miss the era of responsibility. ;)

Hi IE :)

Will Dave's forecast moisture happen?

Would someone please move that high pressure area stalled over the Colorado plateau?

Moi

Wishing for rain.

Due to be over 80F at the Rose Parade, 1/2/12.

Looking out of the window...

-Snoooow? Snooow? Where are you?

So, it is +1C, no snow (very little snow remains in some places).

And we have green grass (also in some places). Is THIS winter?

I understand so well, today in our area of the world, we are 40f above normal. No snow on the ground, some left over ice in places, this is not normal for our coldest month of the year. Tomorrow I break out my shorts and flip flops, ITS SPRING.

River.

I just read we are in for a La Nina condition through Spring.

I know that means less moisture for the West and South.

Seems to me you are going to be dry too. No wet.

La Nina as we know is due to Humankind's effect on global warming.

Personally, I was not happy to read this report but, consoled myself that I am a

El Nino / La Nina climate model atheist. And I pray to the Deities of Rain.

http://news.yahoo.com/la-ni-continue-sp ... 10815.html

It do feel dry here in Southern California after an early fake out by well spaced Autumn rains.

The break from 80F days at the coast w/o hot winds is promised in a day or two since last Saturday.
