Re: There's Always The Weather
You are
all the rain.
The last two events fizzled the day before arrival to Southern California.
Variable clouds and sun with light shirt to light jacket weather.
Garlic, potatoes, cilantro and lettuce are sprouting. Working on carrots for the first time and trying for early sweet shelling peas.
This is my favorite time of year. Always liked Autumn and the shorter days, aided by time change.

Re: There's Always The Weather
"Danger Will Robinson" (remember that line?)
Severe Weather Alert
...VERY STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS...COLDER TEMPERATURES...AND THE
POTENTIAL FOR UNSETTLED WEATHER RETURNING WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH
FRIDAY...
So I watered well tonight preparing for the associated dessication of greenery.
Dry, cold, wind coming. No rain. We are under the influence of unseasonable(?) tropical Mexican monsoons that don't make it past Arizona but, stop those wonderful Pacific storms from reaching down the coast. Cold, dry and windy Santa Ana events is how our Novembers use to be before global warming. Just like now.
It is a beautiful time to see the ocean waves and the crest of a wave blown back to the open ocean as the rest breaks shoreward.

Re: There's Always The Weather
We got a shot of some of that good Canadian weather a couple of weeks ago, but winter backed off and it has been beautiful fall weather. Insulated vest until about 9 am, then long sleeve shirt only. The cottonwoods have turned golden. Great working weather, but storm clouds on the horizon.

Re: There's Always The Weather
It never happened as advertised in Central, coastal Orange County, Paradise.
The air did not even get dry and full of static electricity that sparks when stroking the cats.
My barometer did drop half an inch which is a big one day move.
The wind such as it was came from the south, southeast, not the NE, and brought lots of low clouds but not fog.
As usual
Update: 3:15PM or so. A small breeze just came up and the flags flutter toward the ocean.
Could this be it? The Severe Wind Storm? Sky still has high gray. I will test a cat later and report any shocking results.
Re: There's Always The Weather
Good God, it's winter again.
I was only able to get the temperature of my office up to 83F today.
Nearly froze to death.
