The sky is featureless Orange and wild fire fighting units are on alert. Water toting planes and personnel are waiting for the Fire call as Red Flag Fire Alert conditions are coming. Low humidity, Santa Ana winds. They are really trumpeting this like it is gonna be something.

I watered well today.

I'm guessing rain by mid November. Hoping.

Moi, are you near a forest? I thought you lived by the ocean.

River

Some years ago there were three fires around me. Camp Pendleton, Cleveland National Forest, and hills by your old stomping ground. The air rained ash for a couple of days. Closer to me was the Laguna Beach - Hills fire that advanced like a great line of spectacular flames inland toward the University of California, Irvine.

No I am not directly vulnerable to wild fires. More like feeling the weather, the sparks jump when petting a cat, irritable feeling, weather.

And when the hills do burn, it is like God's Smog. I would not blame it on a general deity or Mother Nature. ;)

I just had to share, , , I wrote someone saying -

feels like earthquake weather.

Now if there is an earthquake I am awesome.

If not, well ya really can't predict e'quakes, can you.

We had a nice Autumn extending rain. About half an inch. And less due Sunday. Temperature is a cold feeling 60F with clear sunny skies, 'cause of cold & dry air coming off snow covered Big Bear and getting drier as it warms up. The Fuji Apple tree looks like it is not going to "hibernate" but the Royal (the best) Apricot, pomegranate, cherry trees probably will and the mission fig most assuredly. The loquat have finished flowering and are making fruit. Avocados are ripening in unknown quantities, it has been one a year for years. Now lots. Second generation cilantro coming up here and there and hoping Italian parsley does the same. Regretfully I do believe my prize tree, my Leechee is not going to make it.

Have not seen Squirreley the squirrel who may opt for piracantha berries less in view over unsalted peanuts.

Oh, c'mon. Doesn't anyone else have Autumnal weather to share?

Or does it take Bob3 getting hurricaned then blizzarded. :-\

Clear, dry and cold feeling at 60F. When it rains and it is 60F I never get chilled.

The scent of autumn is still not there but the sunlight has changed from the yellowy summer sun to the bluey winter sun like someone changed "da Sun bulb" to natural light. An extended period of rain is due again this weekend.

It is El Nino in the midst of a predicted La Nina these last few years.

Time to throw these babies out with the rain water - theoretically. 😄

Well, Moi, you asked in PM, if we already have white winter?

The answer is no. Even some grass and shrubs are mostly green. It is relatively warm (above 0C, up to 10C sometimes), but, it is Saint-Petersburg - so there is either mist or some drizzle most of the days.

Had some pleasant rain today, to cold for the grass to take off again, but it is still green, then again it is always at-least a little green here.

Its 50 here today and last night as the temperature never moved. The rain predicted is washing out so we just had a cloud blanket cover over us yesterday.Went outside last night to see the northern lights just that large gray blanket overhead.Do like it better than the freezing in the morning as we had black ice Friday morning on the roads .Sent the wife in her used car to work with its tires studded to the hilt and she said the tires chewed right thru the ice.No more all season tires for her.

Wife brought home walnuts from her parents yesterday

She knows I like walnuts

Was predicted to rain all week but its going south and missing us.
