Re: My life
I can already hear sighs of relief - I do not have the time tonight to write lengthy responses.
I need to get together some documentation for my interview Friday morning. I'm merely delaying the inevitable by writing now.
Hi Slammr,
It's good to hear from you.
I am doing
Gentle hugs to you, dear lady.
Hi Caith721,
Only a week now until your big day in Miami! I'm very happy for you.
You are a sweetheart and I always wish you the best.
I made a special point of getting outside yesterday and today because temperatures have been moderate, with low humidity and sunny skies. I went to the botanic garden both days. Tomorrow, though, wil

Hi River,
I will definitely find a job before much longer. Finding one that fits what I want and like to do is the hard part, as you know dear friend. I will make that happen sooner or later.
I wish I could see you now to get a hug in person!
Hugs,
Danya

It's really great to hear you're getting out and about, Danya. I'd say the fresh air is good for you, but with summer heat now here I don't know how good the air really is.It's really important for your mental as well as physical health, not to mention just your psychological well-being. Good luck with resuming the pipe organ!! Do I need to remind you,
Gentle hugs to you, dear lady.

Yes, you do need to remind me not to over do it on the pipe organ! Thanks.

Re: My life
I continue to feel confident that I will .... I'm not sure how to explain this!
Although I am 59 and have no job (a very temporary situation), no income (this won't last long) in a still dismal economy, rent a room in someone else's home, have far fewer possessions than about a year ago, recently survived one of the worst blizzards in Chicago's history
and so on - I feel more confident than ever that I will find a way to live the life I seek.
I feel complete now. This contributes to my confidence. My gender therapist predicted I'd feel more confident after surgery. I last spoke with her about about nine months ago. I did not believe her then, thinking I was already doing well. Now it seems that she was right. It's probably too soon to be certain. Yet the feeling that I am finally fully in charge of my life has been growing in recent weeks.

Thanks for your kind words, Dragonfly.
Now, this will seem a small matter to most of you. To me, it feels like a major milestone. Last night, I was able to sit without
When I got home, I wondered if I could also sit on an uncushioned chair. Turns out I could do this, too.

Re: My life
Great news about being able to ditch the donut, Danya. (Alliteration intended
) It's difficult to believe it requires from nine to twelve months for all of the tissue swelling to recede and for everything to look as normal as it ever will. Just getting rid of the donut is another excellent sign of your continuing recovery.
So, will you be running in the 2012 Chicago marathon?
(Okay, I apologize in advance for giving you screwball ideas.)

I suspect it might be difficult in heels!

Re: My life
Oh, and congratulations at getting rid of the butt-donut. You'll be riding bikes in no time.
