One Effing guilty verdict out of 23 or 24 (Blagojevich)

>>What a fucking waste of time and bullshit this story has been.

>>And he presented no defense which means that beyond a reasonable doubt the unvarnished prosecution case didn't prove his guilt.

>>Are they that fucking incompetent?

A federal jury in Chicago found former governor Rod Blagojevich guilty of a single count of lying to federal agents but deadlocked over the other 23 charges against him, a major victory for the Illinois Democrat.

Surprised ?

Really ?

It was like having the OJ trial in Central / East L.A.

Welcome to Chicago. A long, proud history of . . .

🔫 🔫 :shot191:

Duh, as if the trial should not have been moved out of the rust belt.

Moi

Those who do not remember history are likely to be, surprised. 😄

It only takes one to stop everything, now comes the next investigation to see if there was some jury tampering going on.

The criticism of the Grand Jury system is that a prosecutor can "indict a ham sandwich" because no defense is presented and here, an office full of US attorneys with brains can't get more than one guilty verdict on a case with no defense?

grumble, grumble, grumble...

Or, maybe they did not really have a case to begin with.

Like the OJ trial, which I watched, after seeing all the lack of any evidence I would not have been able to come up with anything different than the jury did, NOT GUILTY.

But in the jury of public opinion he was guilty as hell, if you were white. If you were black he was just that not guilty.

Its not the best system but it is the one we have, sometime guilty people get away with it, other time it has the reverse effect when some guy is found guilty and did not do anything wrong.

It is still the best system around, not perfect but the best one around.

Aw Drat! innocent? My ass is innocent, too.

All this discussion is way too serious.

Blagojevich is Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo of politics.

From this morning's news, there was a single NO vote on the all the unagreed charges. I know Blago is a sleezy Chicago pol, but from the known facts and the US Attorney's arrogance, I couldn't have convicted on any of the charges.

Now they want a second trial...where's Eric Holder to squash this one like the voter intimidation case in Philly?

You want to defend a pile of shit like Blagojevich?

You want to encourage politicians a sleazy and scummy as that man?

This isn't a jinned up set of charges that shouldn't see the light of day, this is a pile of shit (scatalogically graphic today, Ain't I?) who cares more about lining his pockets with money and influence and not doing his job.

He wanted money to line his pockets from a hospital deal. He wanted payoff money from the sick and ill. You want a politician like that? Crooked as sin? Unethical and amoral? Blagojevich is a turd. Flush him into the sewer where he belongs.

Illinois...

How many innocent people did they have on Death Row before an outgoing Governor, headed for prison, pardoned them all...

Randi Stidel spent 20 years on Death Row in Illinois for a murder that he did not commit and was RAILROADED into prison by ? CLICK HERE... (http://www.illinoistimes.com/Springfiel ... ption.html)

Meanwhile, for 20 years the murderer is roaming around to... do it again? (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/12/ ... 3966.shtml)

Icing on the Cake? Governor Ryan PARDONS all of the death row inmates and is nominated for a NOBEL PRIZE... (http://thenobelpeaceprizetoryan.blogspot.com/)

Justice and Illinois are NOT compatible...
