Gradual shrinkage in connection with less than full erections?
I have a 7.5 penis, and when I used to measure it there were times where it would be close to 8" if I was rock hard
Well, I rarely get that hard these days anymore. My penis gets stiff, occasionally hard, but it's always firm and not the throbbing steel like member I used to have. Most of the time when I masturbate myself, it's floppy but just stiff enough for me to pump the foreskin
Is there any chance that I could experience gradual penile shrinkage?

Re: Gradual shrinkage in connection with less than full erections?
Hi and Welcome,
I don't believe anyone can tell you the answer to that, but my thought is that you must compare apples to apples. If you used to get throbbing erections and now do not, then there is a change in the erection (not necessarily size). Before I started down the path of castration I had an almost 8" throbbing erection, but now at best I get an almost 6" erection (no throbbing), so give or take 1/2" (for the apples to oranges conversion) I have lost somewhere around 1 1/2" to 2" (which I hope to correct someday, - I liked my penis).
Besides you are still young so unless you have low T you shouldn't be noticing any shrinkage yet. Hope this helps.

That is great info, thank you I appreciate it. I hope to learn more and get to know you guys in the future. To be honest, an 8" penis is the last thing I want. I'm very encouraged by the loss in firmness, as I have to admit I'm looking to shrink my penis. I band my balls for pleasure (but not as a castration method), and I wonder if perhaps it's lowered my t-levels a bit.

I would say not likely. After the torture that I put mine through and killing an average of 60% of the tissue, I was just below normal levels. I used to band for fun, but I couldn't leave it on for more than 35-40 min. I would not recommend that anyone band, but if you do for fun I would not leave on for more than an hour as you could cause a blood clot. If you leave on for 4 hours you have a small chance of permanent damage (barring a blood clot), 6-8 hours chances increase, 8-10 hours serious chances, 10-12 hours almost definite (if applied correctly).

I'm aware of the clot risk so I've stopped doing it, but when I did I was leaving it on for 30-50 minutes regularly. My cum became clear for several months after an extended banding session, but the amount of white has slowly returned over time.
I guess it's just difficult at my age to deal with these desires and feelings because you can't open up to your friends about it and most gay men even don't really understand how you could want anything less than a giant throbbing penis.

Welcome to the Zoo,
The one piece of advice I would like to give you is this, take your time, don't be in a hurry you have a life time to make this decision. Learn all you can the good and bad about being castrated, take castration on a test drive for a year, keep your doctor in the loop. Most of all TAKE YOUR TIME.
Most all of us have felt as you do, for each person its the same and totally different, you must discover what parts are right for you, ask questions, never stop asking as someone here will answer them if not several of us. I wish you the very best and what every you decide, do it safely.

River,
Thanks for the great advice and the warm welcome!:) I definitely am not in a rush, though, it's been something I've thought about and wanted for a while so I do know that it's something that I think would probably be a good thing for me for many reason. It's good to know that there are resources out there to help educate myself about how to proceed adn what to expect, and I'd always keep my doc in the loop for any major medical issue like this.
I look forward to getting to know you guys and slowly joining the wonderful community you have here.
PS I also have a rather large and unsightly foreskin, which I definitely WOULD like to have removed (or modded at least) sooner than later. 22 years with a foreskin is 22 years too many, as anyone who has had one can tell you
Guess that's a discussion for another day/thread though : P

River,
Just my two cents: Mine was at birth and I have no recollection, but the Bris that I've attended the baby cried for a short time and that was it. I've been told that while circumcision is basically simple and I think out patient procedure, it's painful as an adult.

Just a reminder, let's not turn this into another circumcision argument.
Thanks.
Thanks.
