I dont know what my t level is, but i take 2 50mg tablets a day. And i know that my sex drive has gone,just the same as anysort of errections.

I was on 50mg a day and my t-levels were around 100. This pretty much killed the libido. As many have said "your mileage may vary."

There are a lot of factors on how low your testosterone levels will be. The amount of a drug will have different effects on each person. The big factor is what your levels were before you start androcur. If already low the drug effect could have a greater drop in testosterone. Seems like most take around 100mg. Do not think most will have that much effect of below 90 with only 50mg a day.

I was on 50mg of CA and Tamoxifen for about 18 months, after experimenting with higher dosages to start. My T level was tested was between 71 and 102. I quickly developed a severe case of anemia, which 25mg of DHEA helped to alleviate, but which seemed to raise my T level too. I began taking a daily mulitple vitamin, plus B, D and calcium supplements, instead. I had very little libido. I am now on 25mg and notice very little difference at the lower dose, with perhaps a bit more energy and motivation.

I started with 150mg I think for 2 weeks (I forget details, might have been longer, it's documented somewhere here in the EA).

Then about every 2 weeks or so reduced it, first to 100, then to 50, in accordance with printed instructions.........to use as little as possible to maintain desired results; no sense in taking more than needed - it is expensive.

Stayed on 50mg for ? six months? Loose track of time.

This stuff really killed all interest in sex.

No desire, no erections, nothing.

And I had no frustration or anxiety over being sexless.

As I said in another thread life has simply been Peace On Earth as far as sex goes.

I ran out of siterone Aug 1 and will not reorder and will go 30 days to see what happens. After that, since castration is just not a viable option, the plan is alcohol injections starting mid-sept, but that discussion is on another thread.

My main curiosity now is whether or not my sex drive will return now that I have stopped siterone. We shall see. Do not decide what to do based upon my or anyone's experiences....everyone's results and reactions are different; go slow at first to be safe.

At what stage of androcur did you get the blood test done? Not knowing the true level of testosterone is not really a test. You may think that you are shut down. You could just be at a lower level and think you are at the bottom. You can not go by symptoms to know T levels.

Being off androcur for only 30 days is not a real test either. Will take time for the body to start making T again.

At what stage of androcur was your blood tested? Were you on Tamoxifen at that time?

Your dose levels will be far different then most people. While only 50mg works for you does not mean it will for others.

You are also taking Tamoxifen. That drug will effect your T levels. So in reality you are taking more androcur then just the 50mg. The Tamoxifen also contributes to the over all effect.

I was first tested after six months from starting. The tests came back at 71, which surprised me because by then I was just about having to drag myself out of bed every day and felt surely that I was below 50. That's when I discovered that I had a serious case of anemia and began taking DHEA. I felt much better but after another three months, my second test came back at 102, so I stopped the DHEA and begain the vitamin regimine. It seemed to work for me. Over time, things seemed to become stable and I was able to adapt to the changes. Very little libido but I was still willing and able to please my wife when she wanted it. I didn't feel the need for any more tests because things were where I was satisfied.

By the end of the first month or a bit more, I had settled on 50mg of CA plus 20mg of Tamoxifen soon after. I began taking the Tamoxifen because I had noticed some breast enlargment soon after starting.
