Question regarding testosterone how long does the residual testosterone stay in the body? is it a slow proccess or does it happen pretty fast?

The blood level of testosterone drops very quickly post castration. I read a study once where they monitored the blood level of testosterone from patients who were just castrated and found they reached castrate level within 3-4 hours. That being said the effects of testosterone are much slower to disappear but the majority of testosterone disappears almost immediately.

Congratulations... It was 6 years ago that I started on Androcur and my T levels dropped... I do not regret it one bit.. For me, my reasons for castrations were religious.. I was a Christian and I was Gay.. Castrations made my peace with God. Most no one has the same reasons as I have for castration.. Good luck...

Congrats .. I hope you're healing goes well. It doesn't always go smooth as silk as I can attest to that. I was castrated on 4/26 and am just now almost pain free. I developed a very large hematoma that required packing for 3.5 weeks so it could drain. But all is well now and I hope it goes smoother for you.

I had bilateral orchiectomy done when i was 17. I agree, I was drugged to the hilt and still it hurt like hell! were your testicles removed via the pelvis? / abdomen region?

Ok first of all I apologize for not responding sooner, I don't have internet access at home so I have to go to places that offer free WYFI yesterday being a national holiday and all I decided to stay home, that , and it rained all day. I do appear to have a small problem there is an accumulation of fluid in the scrotal sack it doesn't hurt it's just a little tender. It sure as hell sounds weird though. Sounds like a washing machine when I walk I'm supposed to see my Doctor on Thursday but I think when I call his office today they may have me come in sooner. I do need to be extremely careful about infections I had a splenectomy done in 1994 (the Spleen was removed due to trama).

Otherwise the healing is going well still a little tender but I now attribute that to the fluid build up. I was able to drain some of it this morning but I'm not equipped to get it all out what I was able to remove was blood, bright red blood normal looking blood so I'm a bit concerned that there might be a little bleeder in there. I don't know how the castration was done. I don't know if the cords were sutured or cauterized. I will be happy to refer any of you to the Doc that did the surgury just let me know via private message.

Keep an eye on everything and see your doctor if anything you think is not right, don't wait and see.
