What is in a swollen gland?

I was curious but have not found an answer. If you are really hard on your penis from torture and cutting of circulation. When it gets swollen, what is the fluid that builds up? The color of the gland area gets lighter almost white so I don't think it's blood. I did a google search but did not find an answer so I thought I would go to the experts ;o) at Eunuch.org.

Probably it is lymphatic fluid. However, it could be an infection or a pus pocket. It could also be a sebacious cyst. If it starts hurting (pain), if it turns red or starts having red streaks appear coming from it under the skin or feels hot to the touch seek medical help immediately.

You should go get medical attention. You don't want to end up with gangrene. ...I don't think, do you?

Thank you for the answer. Definitily not, that would be aweful. I was just curious. I could never figure out where it comes from.
