Easy Off
Write a story about a world in which mens' genitals separate easily from their bodies. A wrong move, over exertion, a blow can all cause a man's penis and testicles to just fall off. A man might open his zipper to pee, only to see his penis plop into the toilet bowl. When he takes his pants off, his testicles might roll to the floor, and be played with by the cat. Vigorous sex, be it even masturbation, can destroy a man's genitals, so every sex act is fraught with danger and anxiety.
What's worse, the men, even very old men, all have powerful sex drives, and can think of little other than sexual release. A man might unintentionally castrate himself at the very moment of his ultimate satisfaction. The women don't care, because medicine can extract enough semen from a man's lost testicles to impregnate them, so they have little interest in the perpetually horny men. Male homosexuals have to content themselves with stripping off their clothes and gazing at one another longingly from opposite sides of a room. There's a very few alpha males whose genitals are large and firmly fixed to their bodies. These few men dominate the lesser castrated men, using them for sex at will, and sometimes taking the women too.
Once a man loses his genitals, he becomes placid and readily subjugated. The few large corporations that run the world recruit employees by sending out press gangs armed with clubs to whack men in the groin, thus separating their genitals and rendering them fit for life-long servitude.
At last, a young male scientist finds a cure for easy genital separation. He gives it to a few others in secret, and then they give it to still more, creating a revolution. At last, most of the young men who still have genitals are able to keep them. They make a public announcement of their achievement, expecting everyone to rejoice. But the other people - the men already undone, the women, and the alpha males - feel threatened. Their world is under attack. They turn against the young men everywhere with knives and scissors and hammers and any weapon they can grab. The young men are overwhelmed by mobs and subjected to bloody, painful castration. The old order is restored, and endures forever. There is no hope, so men, look to your balls! The end.

Re: Easy Off
A-1, I've used the same response a couple of times when obviously lazy, rarely-participating members (of other boards) have posted the old "Somebody rite more stories with ____"; lazy folks who don't even try to use grammar, much less spelling, certainly do deserve the response you gave
However, Bobover has a well-thought-out idea with some great concepts, and I suspect he just isn't really into writing much fiction.
And that's okay!
Don't know if I'll take up the idea and run with it, but it is intriguing. I suspect my 'genre' is not apropriate though.... but maybe it'd be worth a shot.
Neat idea, Bobover. Hope you get to read it!

Re: Easy Off
I DISAGREE.
Bobover 3 is a very articulate gentleman perfectly capable of expressing his exact feelings and WELL-VERSED in writing fiction.
I feel that he could be an EXCELLENT author.., if that is what he wanted to do. If he has actually ever contributed to the fiction in this site, I have NOT found any stories from him, unless he was writing under the name "BOBOV" ...and if he did write under this name it is quality writing...

Re: Easy Off
"Bobov" was me, in an early incarnation.
I thought the Story Recommendations and Ideas board was for what I wrote - a story recommendation and idea.
Doing a fully executed story takes more time than I can now afford. Still, I enjoy playing with fantasies, which is why I sometimes post here. If you liked my little outline, I'm happy.

Good.
You are happy. I am happy. (...and all of that without animosity.)
Go ahead and start it, bob... I am sure that you will finish it, eventually, and it will be worth waiting for, I am sure.
Maybe somebody will pick up the idea and go with it, but I find that the originators of an idea write better stories than those who take the idea and run with it.
In other words, nobody could do it better than you, as far as I am concerned...

Re: Easy Off
Did you read the story "Separation Anxiety" (by caultron)? It is sort of like what you described.

Re: Easy Off
Please forgive me if I'm going off track a bit, but this idea reminds me of dreams I had when I was a very young boy. I used to dream that my penis would fall off, usually when I took my pajama bottoms off. I'd pick it up and either try to stick it back on, or run to my mom to see if she could. I always woke up before I knew if it worked. Funny, I hadn't really remembered that for a long, long time, even though I've always remembered the thoughts I had about cutting my penis off, which started not much later in my life.

Re: Easy Off
That's a fascinating memory, Stewie69. I've always thought some of the best stories have a dream-like quality. Dreams express deep feelings with compact forceful images. Fairy tales and fables and nursery tales are like that. When I write, I try to put myself in a dream-like state, in which the normal inhibitions against free expression of emotion are suspended. This doesn't always work, but it's my aim.
