I had a cat that I carried till it was 15. an orange maine coon. I will never forget her or forgive myself for not being able to take her to the vet when needed. She died in my room, and I thought there would never be another cat in my life. two moves later I now have three. all my landlord's cats. Tigo and Booboo are longhaired grays, and Nials is a short haired with misshapen tail. Tigo is friendliest, Nials is halfway, and booboo s a fraidycat.
just now allowing herself to pass by me when I open the door for them.
I always think of the StrayCats and their Stray Cat Strut when thinking of the four footed friends. Cat Class, Cat Style...
Maine Coon-s are special.
On the smaller side Abyssinian are social, playful and require lots of people time.
It is enjoyable to hear from persons converted to Pro Cat.
When a 15 year old cat gets sick, be content giving it a hospice and nice, secure, loving place to pass away.
Ruth my Abby went over months from cancer, age 13.
Blackie - the gray kitty I grew up with passed quickly from kidney failure, probably due to stones, age 13.
Izzy mentioned above passed over only 4 days in a pattern like Ruth's malignancy spreading.
Spinal cord involvement.
It was Maine Coons time. Not much a vet can do without being unnecessarily cruel.
Would you put a cat on chemotherapy?
And you have picked up cats have individual personalities.
Unlike slavish dogs.
Izzy was enigmatic. Very difficult to figure out.
He got love time on his time, not mine.
I use to sing to Izzy via perverting songs,
"Ava Maria" became "Oh Izzy Kitty".
Those songs are coming out of me more often now.
It is hard to lose a cat.
Solly is clingy when I am in "his" bedroom, where I sleep.
OFBK and Solly to spend time in the same room but, are in no way, buddies. Nor enemies.
I have not seen OFBK exerting dominance over Solly who is bigger as she use to.
