All my life I have had cats. Now I have four, but one is special to me, he´s deaf from birth, he has an ochre-yellow colour. His meow is some odd. He always has sounded like a kitten although he is four years. Usually I just serve their food, hoping he could smells first than the others and comes. But many times I forget he´s deaf and When I call to all the group he is the last one to come:-\, because only can guides by the nose and sight. I always waiting for him at the lunch time and keep some more of food to him so I know that often he will have come late when the others have finished already. He is more caring and calmer than the rest. He Loves exploring the entire house everyday even when he knows perfectly every single corner. I have found some difficulties when try to teach him some orders. He can follow a few signs and gestures, I don´t know how teaching a deaf cat, any idea to teach him some orders? anyone with a deaf cat?

Here´s My short and real kitten story 📖

Fun With Cats In Stormy Season

With the gray skies and intermittent rainy times, OFBK :kittygray only spends a few hours outside on drier days.

She and the 🐈 brothers, little Izzy and huge Solly curl up, sleep a lot and are all warm, fuzzy and docile.

Y'can come up to one, and give them a firm hug as they lay limp and warm and purring.

This is definitely a seasonal behavior.

I like often giving a sudden fright to my deaf-cat when is on his back.

He doesn´t notice my presence and when I touch him, Jump up and rush away.

Sometimes I regret for my action, but I know that finally he'll have fun too. 🃏🃏🃏

Or at least he will be excercised. Lying down all day and night long is his favourite hobby

I gave up playing jokes on my cat(s) some time ago and require visitors to be respectful to them.

It seems to help "trust" issues between cats and people.

The down side is they may lay across a dark hallway and expect me not to step on them.

Currently my 3 cats are the most "loving" cats I have known, with the exception of the Abyssinian, "Ruth".

Yo - River 😱

Are there any critters there that would eat cats, like coyotes do in California?

There are no natural predators in Hawaii, the only wild animals are pigs, rats, mongoose, and chickens all were introduced over the years. There are no snakes in Hawaii, no rabies. We are a bit isolated and now days nothing alive gets in without inspection and lots of paperwork.

See ban pets in Hawaii, it includes some breeds of Cats.

The Cats Sleep. More news at eleven.

This has been a really, really sleepy season for them.

Even OFBK :kittygray spends hardly two hours outside before opting to nap inside.

Even on a nice weather day.

Solly 🐈 was feeling chunky a day or two ago. Today he is a bigger cat.

Over 16 and still growing. At night, he sleeps snuggled up against me and I hold his back paws.

If I don't hold them he kicks searching for my hand. At first he did not like it.

OFBK :kittygray took a trip to the neighbors yard this warm winter afternoon.

With a near full moon, I expected her to try stay out all night and hunt.

With encouragement from my neighbor, she decided to respond to my calling.

Izzy 🐈 remains the enigma.

Five minutes of love time/day at his discretion and that's it.

This is a grand season to have 3 old cats. 2 on the big side.

Just naps upon naps with feedings in between. Cat box duty remains unchanged.

The nice part is to pet them, so warm and soft. And they purr easy too.

OFBK :kittygray just tapped my leg with her tail, gave her sweet "brrr" and

jumped on the chair next to me.

Not usual for her so I better pay attention to her now.
