I am beginning to wonder if there are two tiger stripped Orange Kitties.

The older, sweeter observed fully balled one that came by last night and a few times before and a possible more feral younger appearing offsping as I assume is "the Orange Kitty". The friendly one seems to have a bigger head but otherwise they look as similar as I can mentally document. Is it perspective? The distant Orange Kitty appearing to have a smaller head? Both are lean and definitely large and male.

Both, or the same, eat there fill per appearances. But, possible older friendly version beckons with "meows".

Feeling a lot better, now I've had a chance to reflect, I am glad I gave Cat Cat a good home for the last 2 years of her life. She would have been an old abandoned cat living on the streets if I hadn't taken her in, so I am glad I did, and glad I gave her a comfortable old age.

That's a good thing you did, now is the time to go to the shelter and get another.

We have never gone out and gotten a cat. They have always found us. Mostly, they have come from people who have moved and simply abandoned the cats. Sometimes I think that we are a stop on the Kitty Underground Railroad.

Currently, we are down to 15 cats, from a high of 22, 12 of whom stay in the house at night. (The other 3 stay in the garage at night by choice.) We go through a 16 pound bag of dry food every week, 144 cans of wet food every three weeks, and 160 pounds of cat sand a month. I clean four cat boxes twice a day, and vacuum the house every morning.

Some of them are pushing 20 years old and their vet bills are a little steep. Fortunately, our long time vet gives us group rates. It has been a standing joke at the vet's office every year when it's time to bring all our cats in for their vaccinations. It takes 5 appointments.

Over the years 40 some odd cats have lived with us, they all had distinct personalities and even the least social of them gave us some reason to love them. We even have friends who have willed their cats to us along with a trust fund for their care. However, we are getting older and we have decided, reluctantly, that except for any cats willed to us, we will accept no new replacements. We have already had to take some new arrivals to formal cat rescue organizations. If our two youngest cats live into their twenties we will have them until our nineties. I like to think that we have done our bit for cats

Cats, you gotta love 'em!

Both Orange Kitties showed up last night.

First the younger one that I have ID'ed as Orange Kitty in earlier uploads and the older, fully balled, flirtatious, begging OK-2.

The older one has never transferred a flea bite to me and his coat feels properly oily. No doubt I am the alternative feeding place. OK the feral younger one shows up every few days now.

Yes, KITTY < i obey, why?> ;)

Kittens are so cute.

but, they will grow up to be "cats" with individual personalities although from the same litter and reared with the same comforts.

Intelligent and sensitive people know how to develope a long term relationship with a cat. Consider,FDR & Hitler had dogs, Lenin had a cat. Hhhmmm? 🙄

I regret to report neither of the doppelganger Orange Kitties have appeared since last upload. At this point in time, I figure it is up to the Orange Kitties.

Indoor Siamese brothers and night indoor old Black Kitty are doing their thing.

I guess I need to go on a serious diet, Rupert will join me, clawing and scratching all the way I am sure. He always weighed 11.4 lbs, he is not 18.2 fat and lazy, just like his master/slave.

sigh,

I guess its time to get him on a senior diet and cut the treats by 75%. he is going to get even with me, this I know for sure.

I remember when he was a kitten, he loved chasing the Lazer light. I would run it on the floor and up the wall.

I lived in a place that was built about 1880 so not only did I have 11ft ceilings but around the top was a ledge that Rupert loved to walk on, I had a step ladder he would use to climb up, that first x-mas talula came down for a visit and we moved the ladder, Rupert went up and the ladder went over and down the flight of steps with Rupert on the bottom side hanging on for dear life. As we herd the ladder bouncing down the steps we herd Rupert voicing his displeasure about this and when it stopped all was quiet, we were laughing so hard and I thought OMG I just killed my cat but Rupert came bouncing in the LR gave me a dirty look turned his back on me with tail twitching and pouted for a while. I picked him up and loved on him gave him a treat and it was all better. But he has never got on that ladder ever again. He no longer chases lazer lights either.
