When neurophysiologist started doing exotic brain research they found the cat a handy lab animal because they are cheap and their head size is very uniform like a research rat.
So all the neurochemisty, neurophysiology and cat brain research was done only to later discover they are unique. Rats, Pigs, Dogs, People are more similar in neurophysiology.
Go figure how far back they must have split off, from us to be so unique.
Cats can react to people drugs, but also uniquely to Cat Nip.
