I find that today's weather men/women are right on the money, they have so many more tools today then they ever had before and tend to get it right.

The local power co. is projecting 5-7 days without power when the winds move in with phase II of the storm tonight. Some areas may see 1.5"+ of ice coating BEFORE the snow even starts.

This is gonna be real fun...

How does it look for home? same story? oh my, stay high and dry, put on an extra hoody.

I had to stay out of my house for five days last year when we got 24 inches of snow. Make sure the house and work isn't going to be damaged. I waited in a dark and cold house for my brother and we put the house right for the duration... When we returned, after the power came back on and 320 feet of snow was plowed away from my driveway, everything inside was OK. I could have lost plumbing, hot water baseboard or had trees fall. Nothing was wrong.

Make like a boy scout and be prepared. It's worth it in the end.
