The church website declares Pastor Owens has a “genuine love and concern for people.” In this sermon, we certainly don’t hear any love or compassion as he calls on his flock to terrorize and murder gays and lesbians.

Among the highlights of this “compassionate” sermon, we hear Pastor Owens shouting, "We need to stop burning flags and start burning fags. We need hunt-a-homo week. We need to take 'em all out and shoot 'em with a scatter shotgun."

The church website states, “Our church is an old-fashioned Bible-believing, people-loving, patriotic church. Our congregation is made up of a group of very sincere Christians who have a goal of growing in the Lord and helping others do so as well.”

It’s clear that we have a long way to go in overcoming bigotry in American society.

Yep I can feel the love already, sounds like most of the Christians I have met in my life with only a couple exceptions.

NOTE: those exceptions I have found here at this site. I could name you guys but you know who I mean.

The only thing I did not hear in this guys bigoted statements is how much money he needs to keep talking like a jackass.

Okay, how many years do your suppose it will take to catch this guy in a homosexual affair.

Interesting....I wonder how many of these church-going Gawd fearing douchebags are right wingers? Tea party members?...A very large percentage, I'd wager...And how many do you think are registered Dems? Progressives, even moderate conservatives? Not too many, I'd wager...
