How does one find the social groups page listings? I follow the instructions under FAQ but I still haven't be able to locate them anywhere. Thanks!

The social groups that exist seem to be centered around the MoMs and those who have met face-to-face at one of them. At least once a year there is a gathering announced somewhere, with all registered members of the Eunuch Archive community invited to attend. While they have not been held in all areas of the U.S. yet (and attempts at meetings elsewhere have not have any members attend), there have been meetings in sevaeral areas.

Coming up next month will be the 2010 West Coast MoM to be held from Friday, June 18 to Sunday, June 20 in a rural area about an hour from San Francisco. Previous gatherings on the west coast have been held in Portland and San Diego.

The largest continuing gathering will by the 2010 Midwest MoM to be held in a Minneapolis suburb from Thursday, August 5 through Sunday, August 8.

MoMs have also been held in Wisconsin and Maryland so far, and I am hoping to organize one in Atlanta next year (if no one beats me to it).

Contacts can be first made at these meetings and continued later in other situations.

After attendance at several MoMs, I now speak on the telephone often with Danya, Kristoff, MacTheWolf, Paolo, Thefraj, Tugon, and several others. I have met Chiliwilli and Jemagirl for dinner several times, as they live in my general neighborhood. In addtiton to the above, several members have visited my home. I have spent several nights on Paolo’s couch and have spent several days with Thefraj in England on two separate occasions.

Attendance at a MoM is the starting point for these social interactions.

I met Jesus, surf_toad, CraftyWolf, IEunuch, Plix, Ken_SD, Daugher and Jesus before attending a MOM. All of them extremely nice people. At a Mom, I was lucky enough to meet Lilac, Jemagirl, and chilliwili. Lilac is great and fun to hug :)

The MOM's are the greatest place to meet friends on the Archive. Someday, I hope to meet The Red Nun, Paolo, UncleFlo, Tome, sheep79, talula and my OLDEST relative on the EA, River.

Wished maybe we could move the MOM social group onto the internet as a Social Network, a la Facebook style. Then, conversations can be real time (instead of only once a year), inclusive for all EA members (overseas and in the US), and interactive. Wouldn't that be great?

We have a social network up and running over a decade. Long before any Facebook. It is called Eunuch Archive Chat.

It is an IRC network running 24/7

You can join with your own IRC program and set the server as Darkstar1.tzo.com. port 6667

Or you can join in through the link to the site at. http://www.eunuch.org/chat/
