The Revised BME Site Is Online
I went to BME this morning and discovered the old version has been replaced with the new version. Alas, there are several links that do not work.

Re: The Revised BME Site Is Online
I'm glad the galleries have page numbers again, this was worrying me when i tried the beta version and there were no page numbers.
lets just hope we get regular updates again, the extreme and hard galleries haven't been properly updated for months, makes me wonder if the people submitting their photos have lost faith and regular contributions will be far less and fewer now than before.
I don't have a video account, and before, bme video had thumbnail pics and updates which were visible to non subscribers, so when i saw some interesting thumbnails, i subscribed and was able to view them, but now we can't see what bme video has to offer, and this puts me off wanting to subscribe, just in case theres nothing interesting or new on it!
in my view, there wasn't anything wrong with the old bme site, this new site is much less user friendly, but i guess we'll have to get used to it.

Re: The Revised BME Site Is Online
My review - the new site is incredibly slow, even on a broadband connection. They need to fix that. It may look slick and be all wonderful when the writers view it locally on their machine directly attached to the server, but when you navigate that site remotely via the Internet it loads up like you're using a dial-up service.
That needs to be fixed, pronto.
They also seem to be more interested in Tattoos now over anything else. Those sections get updates almost daily but anything in the hard or surgical section fails to get updates. I know there is stuff being submitted (it was before, and getting updated) but the new owners seem only interested in tattoos. *shrugs*

New Owners?
I went to the site, I was not impressed, it is only a shell of what it once was.

New owners, as in not Shannon Larratt.

Yes, and since he's been gone the site has not received the attention it once did, and the focus is seemingly now on tatooing instead of all mods (including tattooing). Oh well.
I think it's close the being a case of the strangling the goose that laid the golden egg. *shrugs*

Trouble is, they strangle the goose, they also strangle the EA.

Re: The Revised BME Site Is Online
I have been engaged in extensive correspondence with BME and whilst the new regime have been as helpful as can be, I still have to report too many bugs for comfort. Most of the problems seem to be in the subscription department- I have paid every month since 1997 and even this year paid twice! The program demands an upgrade (more money) to see the video and some of the hard content, but even after paying the extra, it still fails to recognise me and locks me out. I just cannot go straight to the Eunuch pics anymore and there are no videos (used to be 34 at the last count) in all sorry to say a bit of a mess. The program is very unstable indeed, and I for one am very sorry to see how things have gone. None the less I will continue to throw my money in the BME direction for two reasons, one Jan has promised to make it all better soonest, and also because of the support the BME gives to our Archive. It has got to be worth it for that, but I can't see us getting the heady Shannon days back, shame!

Well, since I wrote that, I just went straight into the program with no problems! No video or text stories, but at least the eunuch photo albums are back- small mercies..........
