Something else I have come to realize , I had been so preoccupied with getting the procedure done now that I don't have that goal anymore it feels like something is missing. I guess I will have to figure out something to fill that void.

New goal, time to smell the flowers.

Not much new to report. I seem to be healing well and feeling good just a little pain in my lower abdomen other than that everything is good. The sunburn I got on tuesday hurts worse.

So much for a nice and easy recovery. Last night I developed some pain, just annoying at first and then it became throbbing so I thought I would give the athletic supporter a break. When I went to remove it I found that my scrotum was swelled up to the size of a grape fruit. So I called the number I had and we talked and I decided to ice it again and try to deal with it and see how I felt this morning. Well I had a bad nights rest from waking regularly thru-out the night and this morning it is still swollen up the same and now I have a large hematoma on one side. So I called again and he was very casual about it so I just finally said I will be in this morning.

I wouldn't be very concerned except that I previously had no problems and this went from great to bad in probably 1 hour. Am I over reacting?

No you're not over-reacting. I had similar and worse circumstances. Bastard failed to close a bleeding vessel - I nearly bled to death. Make the doctor earn his keep, and if he screwed up, have another doc fix it. Don't give him a second go-round.

My favorite nun has it right. Go in. You are not over-reacting. The time line (one hour!) is not a good sign. --FLO--

I went in and he felt around my scrotum and said that at this point he doesn't feel that it warrants opening me back up and that he thinks it is gas. I was told to keep a eye on it and make sure it doesn't feel overly warm (blood clot) and that I don't get a temperature over 101 degrees. I will continue to ice it down and wear a athletic supporter to try to keep the swelling down. Right now my scrotum looks like a grape fruit that is half black and blue.

Sorry for the problems you are having. That can be expected with any castration. The sack just swells up.

Not saying that you did, but often when moving around too fast or picking things up can also be the cause. One really has to take it easy for the first few days. As for the ice pack, no worrying about freezing the balls off. :D

Things should settle down in a short time. Hope the recovery is fast and more easy now.

Yes you are right. For some reason I thought I was in the clear since it had been almost 4 days and I was feeling great. I guess it was just a delay before the difficulties set in. Nothing I cant deal with, its just time to suck it up and be happy I got what I wanted

Sorry to hear about your surprising turn of events. Hopefully it will only be a speedbump for you.
