I spoke with a reincarnate

This morning I stopped for coffee and breakfast at my favorite place. The counter person is a young man who is very outgoing and entertaining. Today he was twisting a catsup package to see how many twists before it would burst. Of course when I saw catsup all through his hair I was prompted to ask if during his next experiment he would point it away from himself. His antics continued until business increased.

When I first entered the restaurant I noticed a young man sitting off by himself. He seemed to be very aware of my presence and wanting me to be aware of his. He would smile when I looked his way and I would feel his eyes upon me when I was focused on my I-phone or breakfast. While dining the young counter man turned his cap to it's side and announced he grew up in the projects. I began to laugh and the young man who was laughing said "can you believe that" and I said "no" and we laughed.

We began to talk across several tables. We both commented on how entertained we were. I sensed in him such a kind spirit and an odd familiarity. I was not attracted to him on a physical level but he seemed so warm and familiar. As I was leaving for work he was telling me to have a great day but even though he had not moved he seemed so much closer.

All the rest of the morning I found myself so happy that he was back on earth. I am not sure how many years he has been back since I do not know his birthdate. I wonder if he understands why we connected among all the others having breakfast. I was just very glad to see him.

Sometimes you can just connect with an another human or animal. He could be a soul you know in a previous life, or someone that you agreed to meet up with in this life. In either case cherish the moment then become friends by exchanging contact info.

And sometimes, no matter what sort or quantity of intercourse (take that word any way you like) you have with a person, you just don't connect with him. Or her. At all.

One thing I learned from parachuting into other cultures, there is the odd person that I like from the minute I see them and, even rarer, ones that I absolutely hate. After learning the language a bit, I still like the ones I like at first sight and hate the ones I hated at first sight.
