Herbals
Has anyone tried herbals for feminization/reducing erections and sexual urges? What would be a good thing to try and a dosage that has worked for anyone?

Re: Herbals
Why waste your time and money? You can use the real stuff cheaper with better results. You have to take so much herbals to get a minute effect that it can be toxic to your body. Just because it's natural doesn't make it healthier or safer.

Re: Herbals
Only good they do is to take your money. While some may have a small effect on a female and menopause. Some claim some relief but most studies do not show any.
PS--- You would need a shopping cart full a week to get castration effects. Spend money on real help. Female hormones and/or androgen. (Not a doctor or trying to play one)

Re: Herbals
I tried herbals out for about six months before switching to Siterone and Tamoxifen. The only thing that I noticed was some breast growth, convincing me to stop taking them.

Re: Herbals
Having run support groups for Trans folk for most of the last decade, I have seen the results of a lot of people who have tried herbal feminization, many of whom have reported significant breast growth. After many trips to the bathroom to view the results, I have concluded that herbal estrogens are amazingly expensive and powerful placebos (and the more spent the more they were convinced of growth). TSs with no visible breast development at all have reported gaining a bra size (were they concave before?) Where there is visible development it is usually associated with weight gain (Short of taking estrogen the only reliable way to develop breasts is to get morbidly obese) If you are very certain you want breast growth find a way to get on estrogen. But remember, you can't always go back.

Re: Herbals
Thanks Transward
I agree with you. Herbals aren't a sure-fire way for everyone. I think it's very possible that some trans people may self medicate and take higher than recommended doses, either under the false impression of faster results or that they think being natural is safer, when even a natural product can also damage the liver.
I stumbled upon all this just taking Proscar for thinning hair. Initially it calmed me and I liked that. For me it feminized my figure somewhat. And true, there was added weight due to metabolic changes, but the weight was added to the thighs, buttocks, and hips, instead of the belly. For a while, what I noticed was my voice 'cracking' when I'd raise it, almost like when a boy hits puberty. But here it was now a bit less masculine. I know many people will say, "Oh, that can't happen" and "It is in your head." I've never had my voice crack since I was about 17.
Subtle changes with Proscar and later with the addition of a menopause product containing the likes of Chaste tree berry, Saw palmetto, Wild Yam, Milk thistle, Scullcap- and I found a decent article at the link below that shows what it contains and makes some claims which I can't substantiate. (I do know that none of these products are intended for long-term use. Mainly for woman to use while she's going through menopause.)

The downside for me was irritability and unstable moods. Personally, I believe that I would have responded nicely to estrogen and the standard mix they give MTF's but now, over 30 and being tall and having large hands, I don't think I could ever transition to what I would find acceptable. I do believe I have a male's body and a female's mind, which is like trying to drive a car in two directions at once.
Thanks for speaking up and sharing, Transward. I appreciate it.

Re: Herbals
I would question the site given.
I tried to look up the price. The shopping cart function does not work. Under construction. Think a reputable site would have it's act in order.
Proscar will have an effect. It is suppose to. If you believe the herbs would make major change it would be posted by many boasting of the effects. Providing some relief to females going through menopause is far different then shutting down male hormones.
Think about it. The female does produce male hormones. There level could be higher then a castrated male.

Re: Herbals
I read a little more in the site. Owner has no medical background. Staff seems to be links to other sites. Site info has a blog of the owner.
One has to do a lot of research before believing things you read on the internet. The main stay sites that have been around for a long time. They are time tested. MebMD Mayo clinic etc you should be looking for information. Sites that have real medical staff. Ones that are very new always are in question. Do not believe the shit many claim to be real. People are desperate to find things that will work wonders. They loose control and let the desire control the thoughts. Money does not become an option and is spent in hopeless cures.
Be wise and use the things that have a long and proven record of working. In the long run it could be cheaper and safer for your body.
