Condoms in 'extra small' for boys age 12 set for Britain's shelves soon

Extra small condoms for boys as young as 12 could soon be on our shelves.

The Hotshot condoms are going on sale in Switzerland after research found that not enough 12 to 14-year-old boys were having protected sex.

The condoms are likely to end up on sale in Britain, said their manufacturer Lamprecht AG.

A spokesman said the UK would be ‘top priority’ if the company expanded abroad, considering it had the highest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe.

Nysse Norballe said: ‘At the moment we are only producing the Hotshot in Switzerland.

‘But the UK is certainly a very attractive market since there is a very high rate of underage conception.’

A standard condom has a diameter of 52mm in comparison with the Hotshot’s 45mm. Both are the same length – 190mm.

According to a study of 13 to 20-year-olds, a quarter said that a standard condom was too large.

Hilary Pannack, of teenage pregnancy charity Straight Talking Peer Education, said: ‘We know young people are having sex and if this is what it takes to protect them, we need to go along with it.’

I wasn't paying much attention at the time - I'm not exactly sure of the growing process mine underwent, but by the time I was twelve, it was as big as it is now. I measured it, then. Does anyone know how long it takes a prepubescent penis to grow into a fully mature pubescent one, once a boy starts puberty?

My dick at 12 was no different than my dick at 10... skinny and short. It wasn't until I was almost 14 that it really grew.

The differences at age 12 are astounding. One classroom can have a kid barely 5 feet tall with nary a single hair below his lips and hardly any bulge down below, sitting beside a kid the same age who is almost 6 feet, has a wisp of a mustache, hairy legs, and a nearly adult-sized penis.

In some countries it is illegal for 12yo to have sex. But the fact is, 12yo become fathers. Like Sean Stewart who became a father at age 12.

As legendary Andrew once said YMWV. Your Mileage Would Vary. 12yo could look like a small boy or could be a fertile young man.

As I remember, my puberty started at age 13, several months before my 14th birthday. And then my penis started to grow really fast. Within a year it did most of its growth. From 10cm to 14cm. In mass and volume it is more than twice bigger.

For semen, it also takes normally about a year to mature from clear fluid drops to fully fertile sperm.

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought it was about the 12 year old condoms dry rotting in my top drawer.
