Thank you. I have a doctors appointment this week about my prostate. I wonder if the doctor would prescribe Siterone for me. I'll check my insurance to see if it's one of their approved drugs. Could you guys think of some medical reason I can tell him for getting it?

Androcur is not approved in the US. Siterone is the generic form of Androcur. You cannot get it prescribed in the US. The only way you can get it here is to import it. As someone suggested, InHouse is very reliable.

Like you I'm about to start my second trial.

The first started in Feb with 3 weeks at 100mg per day and then 4 weeks on 50mg per day. I also applied Estroderm 100 transdermal patches at the same time.

So the whole trial was for 7 weeks and the effects were quite strong in my case.

I experienced:

- muscle weakness

- tiny difficult erections

- very little ejaculate

- one hot sweat

- breathlessness

- breast pain

- great skin tone

- no real interest in orgasm

I've started again on 100mg per day for a month and then will be dropping back to 50mg with the estrogen at the start level as well. This time, now that know the side effects I hope to keep it going for some years.

I need to get to the lowest dose as well as I'm not being monitored (I know I should, but cannot).

I must admit though, I would rather physical castration, but I don't want this desire on my medical records in the UK and I don't think that it's available anyway.

P.P.S. The reason for stopping was to see how long things took to get back to "normal". I must say, it's quite a long time. Only now, 10 weeks after stopping the first time is that process starting; most noticeable with skin tone and the male odour in expected areas. Semen volume is better, but not the same in terms of quality before I started the process back in Feb.

As I have posted numerous times, be SURE to read the document that comes with Siterone (or Androcur if you can get that drug).

If and when you decide to stop using it there are specific instructions on how to do so, eg. slowly reduce the dose over several weeks - the longer you have been using it the longer the "phase out" should last.

There is some explanation in the literature as to why this should be done, but I don't quite understand it.

There can be undesirable side effects. Refer back to the drug's literature often.

This is a very complex chemical that is disrupting your body's hormone system. Use with care and caution.

Thanks for the info!

I read the document that came with Siterone and thought that stopping at 50mg/day was OK. I suppose I could have gone down to 25mg/day and will do so if there ever is a next time as I will have been on it for longer.

Perhaps it did do some damage, but there's no way that I can tell at the moment.

Do you know the symptoms of suddenly stopping from too high a dose, say 200mg/day?

It was more than two weeks since last post.

Of the newest things - I understand that I am not as fit as I was. It was just 50 meters dash to the elektrichka, and jumping in to just hear the the doors closing behind me. Well after that I was out of breath and sweating for a long time. There were other things as well.

What else? i have got puffy nipples. Right one slightly hurts, and it feels like there is something under it. Left one is just slightly puffy... ah, if I am getting breast development I prefer to be symmetrical :-\.

One more thing - I should have listened to nullorchis about using sunscreen. I spent some time sunbathing and now I am colored in all shades of red from shoulders down. Ouch.

Particularly at the beginning, breast development is rarely symmetrical. Most of us Trans girls on estrogen worried about that at one time or another. Usually they even out, but even genetic women often have a half bra size difference between breasts.

Okay, as I promised one more post . The day was a bit crazy, but at least I am more or less calm and no longer fuming. But the post wasn't going to be about the day (I just got in close contact with local bureaucracy. Too close for my taste).

So that was on saturday. I was out of the city (dacha... and all the mixed feelings going with it), and riding a bike. When I was already returning, I decided to stop at the spring (i haven't taken water with me). Well how do you react when you meet two men, slightly drunk by their looks asking (after greetings): "are you a boy or a girl?". That is not a common question, and my first thoughts were "how fast can I get out of here? And better in one piece". Oh, everything was ok, I joked off their question, but still I felt comfortable only after leaving the place and fast.

I am wondering about long term desires. In one post you mentioned a sexual dream where you were seeing yourself in a more passive role, as well as being interested in feminization if it weren't for being afraind of friends and family reactions. Are you interested in a gender change or a transition to a eunuch status. and if you had a gender change would you be more interested in a relaitonship with a man or a women.

Long term desires... it is a good question. I should have answered it earlier, but as usually, haven't got my hands to the keyboard and brain to connect with hands to think this through and answer. So while I am at it, I'll try to write it and hope it is coherent.

I do not know if I'll be content with the transition to the eunuch status. And I think that I can not be passable as a female, may be I am wrong... I still need to think this over and it is not the easiest thing to do. As for relationship - androcur left me not asexual, but close to it, I look at women and I can appreciate beauty and I envy the looks and cuves. But attraction? I do not know. On first trial I catched myself being attracted to androginous looking guy, but was it attraction or appreciation of the look? Still more questions and no answers.
