The average voter reasons that if nothing horrible has happened to him there's nothing to be gained by a change. That helped Clinton and Bush. It also helped Obama because even though millions are out of work, more millions have work. It comforts people to think that their neighbor's problem is their neighbor's doing.
I just love the way that you twist conservative attitudes around and place it upon on others. Have YOU forgotten about the Welfare Cadillac?
That highlighted attitude in your quote is straight from REPUBLICANVILLE...
by the way, New Orleans is below the level of the Mississippi because the Army Corps of Engineers has forced it to follow a certain channel and the silt build up has actually raised the river necessitating the walls... Read up also on the Old River Control system that keep the Mississippi from changing course...

I'll bet
we are in for months and months of
bleeding :hearthrob Lincoln with Danial Day Lewis.
And guess which political party is going to lay claim to being the good guy today.
The party that is going to overtly or subliminally pump itself up over this film. No longer a film but, a series of digits.
Spielberg no doubt imbedded subliminal messages too. Huh, River?

Raymond Massey will always be Abraham Lincoln to me.

Raymond Massey will always be Jonathan Brewster to me.
He has the two wonderful old aunts who love to spend the afternoon sipping elderberry wine with lonesome old men.

Time Warner!
And my old Omega seamaster. A self winding watch given to me in 1963 and works to this day.
Accurate and plain but watch makers drool when they service it and offer to buy it. The paramount of the mechanical watch.
