I grew up in San Fernando Valley, SFV. I went to Monroe High, it was then about 75 to 80 % Jewish, us goy's loved it, we got all the holidays off, Christian and Jewish. Jewish New Year = Day the the Beach - Zuma.
The group I ran around with was a mix, 2 Jews, 1 Catholic, 1 Lutheran, and me, Non-Denominational christian. A good mix lots of fun and we shared each others traditions like food
The Jewish religion is not a bad one or militant like Christians and Muslims, if it was not for the pork thing,,,,,

I went to Grant High also in the SFV; the goy's if off it was unexcused, Gentiles did not even need a note for Jewish holidays.
Fairfax & Grant both had football teams that had a tough line up & did not do well, if I recall correctly. The Gentiles could manage all the points and stats of football; just not good at the game its self.
Grant was mostly Jewish with Hispanic,Black & trailer park White. All were easy going til the Chinese arrived. then the neighborhood went to hell.
The parents and grandparents were great; the kids in school had no respect except when in there own culture with their elders.
enuff now getting off subject.

Riverwind were you gone for the trouble with the 1971 earthquake & the Van Norman Dam?
