I realized, we couldn't do such a thread about the Jews.

For my part I find them relatively uncharitable in daily life.

Limited ability to exchange differences of ideas without feuding.

Intelligence is usually less creative in regards to synthesizeing original concepts from their knowledge.

Okay, I'll stop here. And invite my fellow, M.O.T.s to fess up how we feel about, Gentiles.

Living in America, I grew up with mostly Jewish and Catholic kids in my neighborhood. Never had problems because of it.

What bothers me about other religions is they do try and force their ideas down your throat. Be it the "War on Christmas" because stores said "Happy Holidays"

or putting up religious (manger) instead of secular displays on Govt property.

Or there are the Muslims who war on us, Christians, other types of Muslims...

Fairfax High,

A public high school in the dreadful Los Angeles School system traditionally Jewish and academically excellent. Even when it wasn't so Jewish it maintained its' academic excellence. Black kids going to Fairfax High did better then at other High Schools was noted I remember. And all but one of Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass were Fairfax High graduates.

Kirihakan, our member from Istanbul who doesn't hang here no more went to a private school in Istanbul. But, this school was predominately the Christian and Jewish kids. Today he holds a pretty impressive executive position with a high class company car. We communicate on messenger several times a week.

Conclusion: You could do worse then going to high school with a bunch of Jewish kids.

As to the original topic, growing up I found it hard at Easter and Xmas having the holidays shoved upon us non-saved heathens TV specials, parades..not until Adam Sandler did we have anything half-decent for Hanukkah. And I don't think he's FUNNY!!

I think it isn't hard for just Jews, but most non-Christians when the secular entertainment gears itself to the holidays.

I did get over it fortunately. When I went to school the Jewish holidays weren't days off so we get to skip classes those days..
