30 Days of Androcur

Post by chris_M (imported) »

Hello everyone. I just wanted to update everyone about my experience with Androcur. As many of you may have read, I started taking Androcur on April 30. I started taking 100mg per day. (50mg twice a day) I'm currently taking 50mg once per day. It took two weeks for the effects to begin to be noticable. Although I haven't had any hot flashes yet, I have had several night sweats. Waking up in bed hotter than heck. It has been very tolerable to this point. I'm hoping to avoid any sudden hot flashes but I'm sure that tht is wishful thinking. LOL

As far as my raging libido goes, it has massively decreased, especially in the last week or two. I currently have very little desire to constantly need sex and masturbating numerous times each day. I still can and do have sex with my wife but it's much better. I don't have the urge to get it over and done with. It's much more fun being intimate and taking our time. My wife likes it better also. It's extremely nice not to be wanting some type of sex every waking moment.

As far as orgasms go, it takes MUCH more work now. I can't cannot reach an orgasm during intercourse. It takes a lot of work with my hand or my wife's. The orgasms now are almost to the point of being dry but not quite. A very small amount of clear liquid comes out.

As to my weight, I've actually lost some. I'm watching my diet much more closely and I'm jogging anywhere from 2.5 to 3.5 miles anywhere from 4-7 days per week. That's one of the reasons we decided to go the chemical castration route first before having surgery. I can excercise during the summer and keep a close eye on my weight. Also, when I do have them removed surgically, it won't be a SUDDEN drop in testosterone.

There are some days that I feel I have a little less energy and stamina. There are days where I think I can jog 3 miles non-stop when I start, then after I get going I'm pooped half way through. Other days this isn't a problem. This is a condition which exists in virtually everyone but I think the lowered testosterone levels have added to it some.

My wife has said that I seem more calm the last week or so. Some of this may be psychological since we both know that I'm taking Androcur but I think lowered testosterone has helped with this a lot.

I'll update everyone again in the future. Maybe after 45 days or so. Right now I have no regrets and am enjoying the effects so far. It's only been 30 days and this may change but right now I wouldn't want to go back.

If anyone is wondering, I ordered my first batch of Androcur from 'On-line Pharmacy' and the order arrived in a week. They were more expensive than others but the service was great. I ordered a second batch from 'anagen.net'. After a week my credit card had not been debited. I wrote them asking them about it and received a reply that the order had been received. Then they put in the comment "If your credit card has not been debited I beg you to reorder." (Exact quote) After a couple more days I reordered using a different credit card. The next day my credit card was debited for my FIRST order. Shipping was supposedly included and the total was supposed to be $84 for 50, 50mg tablets. My credit card was debited for a little over $100. Now I've got two orders coming for $200 or so. Hopefully the Adrocur arrives. On-line Paharmacy was a lot more reliable, I will say that.

If anyone has any questions or comments, feel free to write them here or send me a personal e-mail.

Take care,

Chris

Hello again everyone. I just wanted to let anyone who might be interested that name of the pharmacy I bought the first order of Androcur from was 'inhousepharmacy.com' and NOT on 'On-linePharmcay.com' that I mentioned in my previous post. Had a small brain fart I think. LOL Just wanted to let everyone know.

chris,

you are experiencing the same thing I did and have been sense last September. I like being a eunuch and surgery is set for Aug 29th. Androcur is a wonderful way to try castration out, I am glad you like it as much as I have.

No questions, but a comment that I glad you posted this, and will keep us updated. Although a surgical eunuch myself, I have come around to the idea that, for some people (but NOT me), androcur as a trial run or as a long-term therapy is a viable option, provided you can actually obtain the stuff.

📖 📖 📖 📖 📖

By the way, I do hope you have informed your physician of what you are doing and have asked him to monitor you, especially liver functions. Remember, your physician has no legal power to stop you from using androcur, and an ethical obligation to keep on treating you.

Hello Andrew. Thanks for the advice. However, at this time I have not told my physician of what I am doing. I'm taking a low enough dose that I don't feel my liver is going to be damaged. I know that I should inform him but at this particular time I haven't. It's more personal thatn anything else. My Dr. is my mom & dad's Dr., grandparents Dr., my wife's parents Dr., etc......Also, there's a person in the office who is related to my wife, etc. See where I'm going here? We live in a large town here in Iowa where word can travel fast. I know that the Dr.'s office has moral obligations to keep things private but...... Eventually I'm going to have to tell him, especially after actually having surgery sometime in the future. Hopefully we'll be able to call it an accident while we were out of town, etc...We'll deal with that when the time comes. Again, thanks for your advice and I'll look forward to chatting with you and others as I continue towards castration.

Take care,

Chris

been on androcur for 8 years,(and premarin) took rest periods stayed off them . for periods of 6 months, sex drive went up a little, more fluid,

I could say after a period of , in my case, 5 years the effect is pretty much permanent.

Thank you gypsytstor,

You have answered a question I have asked in "Time limits for chemical castration" about going more than 5 years chemically castrated. Although I plan for SRS before the 5 year mark, your posts have given me some insight on what it is like were I to go beyond that 5 year time frame with HRT.
