Babylon Five or Deep Space Nine
Did you still like Deep Space Nine after they brought Worf aboard?

Re: Best TV Series -- pick a pair
I loved Deep Space 9 but about that time I moved to St Louis and it was on a week night starting at 11:55pm I never saw it again. :-\
I never could get into the castaways, don't even remember the name of the spin off, with the Dr, that was a hologram.
However I am watching next generation at 11pm but today I am retired, unlike MacWolf who is retired and tired and old, and gray and well you get the idea.

Re: Best TV Series -- pick a pair
I hate to admit that my favorite 2 shows (plus one bonus) are The Daily Show (not too guilty a pleasure) but also The Family Guy and Southpark.
Say what you will, and yes, they both can be disgustingly crass, very simplistic and at their worst, just plain lame, BUT, especially with South Park, the writers hit on more witty, gut-busting-funny riffs than any other show. I've never in my life laughed so hard at a TV show before those two cartoons.
Unfortunately, saying so will now make me seem like a redneck rube for the rest of eternity :p. Poop.

Gotta say Doctor Who is my all time fav.
Big Bang Theory comes in second for me.

Another British gem is Fawlty Towers. Classic comedy starring John Cleese, of Monty Python Fame.
And come to think of it, Monty Python's Flying Circus.

The Big Bang Theory is the only sitcom I watch. One thing I do not understand is why Leonard stays as Sheldon's roommate. I do not see how anyone could stand to live with him. Does Sheldon pay all the rent and do all the housework? Is Sheldon blackmailing Leonard into not leaving?
