Now what should really happen is that the poorest neighborhoods get electricity back first and the rich last, the reason for this is that the rich can leave until its back up the poor can't.

But EA members should always be first, we get worried if one of ours is in trouble.

http://news.yahoo.com/major-winter-stor ... 11547.html

Major winter storm takes aim at SW Great Plains

" . . blizzard conditions expected by Monday afternoon in parts of New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado, . ."

" . . Up to 15 inches of snow is expected in northeastern New Mexico, the Oklahoma and Texas panhandles, southwestern Kansas and southeastern Colorado, . . "

Right in the Bull's Eye middle is our Goat Herding member. Thar in Oklahoma, donchyaknow.

Will they become roommates? How close will man and goats become under extreme conditions?

I will PM him now of our interest. I would not push it because he is a gun person. Gun restoration. Custom design. Etc. so don't carry on too much about the goats. 😄

Moi

So curious. I am here in Blizzard Free Paradise.

Milwaukee 2 yrs, Freezing rain, yes. But, I do not know if I ever experienced a bona fide blizzard.

Please share.

No snow yet will wait and see, I am on a wireless service and have a generator so it should not be a problem. The goats well they have a nice barn. Ah the joys of driving in the snow, time to bring out the old Dodge.

I had a light dusting of snow on the ground this morning. It didn't even cover the grass.

And then it melted away. It is 30 degrees F out there now. But it will be 42 and slightly rainy tomorrow.

I had to get the furnace man in to replace a thermocouple in my boiler.

There went another one of my Christmas gifts to me. $282.00 NEver happens on a weekday, always a weekend.

That's what I call my house repairs to make me feel better.

Dave and River, this is the Blizzard thread. <Harumph!>

Please take your weather whining 😄 to the weather thread.

http://www.eunuch.org/forums/showthread ... he-Weather

thetmgunz2 is in the center of the projected blizzard. There on the flats of Oklahoma. No convenient storm breaking mountains or body of water.

Are any other members getting blizzarded? I think we have little representation here from the States currently involved. Just him and his life sustaining goats.

Oh, Dave, River, please respond in the weather thread, if you must respond, and link there that you responded to the above. 😄

Looks like that Seattle Snow-a-geddon has moved to Chicago and a fair radius around. Eastward folk can expect a good one I hear. May even snow bound the South Carolina voters on Saturday.

Anyone Blizzarded?

It won't last. Gonna melt in a week.

Seattle was hell for a few days if you actually had to get to work. The majority took the day off and partied. Or huddled in homes sans electricity.

It finally snowed here today, just less then an inch. Tomorrow is going to be warmer so it will be gone in a couple days.

Still waiting for winter.

River reportedly got 12 inches of snow. That's a whole foot for you metrics.

By this years standards that 0.3848 meters of snow is a Blizzard.

River may not be able to get online. Oh no! <Mr. Bill voice>

Dave, Bob3, et al - did you get snowed on? How was it?

Dry cold and powdery or wet, fluffy and heavy?

Moi

0.3848 meters. Just so natural as opposed to 1 foot.

Why oh why does 🇺🇸 resist metric in everyday life? 🙄
