D.C. actually got hit worse than we did during last weekends storm. I measured 24 inches behind the barn were wind wasn't a factor....problem is it's been snowing since last night about 5 P.M. and at this point we have another 10 inches on the ground. I need to build some stilts for my dog!

Does any EA member believe they have been out blizzarded then Streetglide?
Bob3? There in New Joisy? I think Streetglide is in it deeper.

PS. We were that snowed in the end of december/beginning of january.
On the internet there was suggestion for the new road sign -
http://editor.dp.ru/images/files/2010/0 ... f8f730.jpg - no parking without the shovel.

Re: Hey, Blizzard Members. Can You Get Online?
I'm about 60 miles north of D.C., they got more snow than we did on Friday/Saturday. I had about 24 inches out of that one. Spent all day Sunday digging out...went down and dug Dad out on Monday.
Then oh goody...it started again Monday night, had about 12 inches by Tuesday morning. Then it got really good, about 10AM the wind got started! It snowed HARD, with 30-40mph winds ALL STINKING DAY!!!
The snow quit about dark, but the winds are still howling. I've got drifts easily 6 feet high all around the house. The road is drifted solid, so I seriously doubt I'm going anywhere today. At least I've had electricity the whole time. I've got the woodstove cranking and I've got plenty of food.
Because of the wind I'll never have a clue what the total snow amounts for yesterday are. I've got snow in the yard that probably blew from Pennsylvania!!!!

After a day of strong sunlight I can now see the very top of the fire hydrant in my back yard. --FLO--

Streetglide is no doubt the most blizzarded EA member.

C'mon.
I'm locked out as I did add to S'glide's reputation.
Send some warmth to Streetglide, our blizzardiest member.
I read his secondary roads are not expected to be open for 2 weeks and
they don't know where to put all that white stuff.
(Try a snow compactor. As to make, snow bricks. Stack 'em)
Now scroll up to Streetglide and send the warmth of a reputation hit.
Prove this Board is not dead.

I got electric back on two days ago and today, the phone and TV and cable modem. I had to throw out everything in my refrigerator and restock it.
But, no pipes froze and nothing collapsed.

I am glad to hear you have not had any pipes break, that can be real nasty, replacing stuff in the frig is just a minor issue.
Glad to see you back.
