Life really sux...

Post by Gil (imported) »

We're looking at only one more MLB game this season, and then it is nothing but the long cold winter. From where I sit, looking out the window at moonlit, snow covered Nevada pinyon pines, my Harley in winter storage, life looks grim.

I decided to lose another fifteen pounds this winter. Rather than bum that I have nothing to do, I will do something very self centered in the spirit of the holidays and not waste anymore time/money/energy on the female. (GF was a dud, liked sex with a guy that can't cum, but has no love to spare!)

So the next fifteen pounds will require dietary restrictions and no caffiene, nicotine or alcohol. It will be about a six hour per day comittment. The days will fly by faster than the pounds! I love my self!:) Don't you?

Very excited here! Can you tell? The new body is so fun! Tight clothes fit wonderfully without all the muscle, 230lbs this time last year. Just under 190lbs now. 175 is the goal! Running is a blast...almost like a butterfly...no longer a truck!

Time to p'up some young sexy college kid! Sorry your outlook is so bleek.:(

MLB OMG I would just as soon watch paint dry.

Baseball the most boring sport in the world,

There is one out and a man on first,

The pitcher takes the mound, looks at the runner on first, looks at his catcher, he gets a sign, he rejects it, he gets another sign, he waves it off, (now if the pitcher knows what he wants to throw why doesn't he just sign the catcher?) he reaches down for the bag of dust for his hand, he wipes his brow, he looks back at the catcher for a sign, he gets the finger, he stands tall on the mound, he takes a quick look at first, the runner has taken a lead off the base, he goes into his windup, the runner starts to move, he throws the ball to first, the runner is back on base, the first baseman throws the ball back to the pitcher, the pitcher wipes his brow, he looks to the catcher for a sign, he waves it off, he adjusts his shirt, he looks for another sign, (the one he got before is and old one and cant be used again), he gets the sign, he looks to first, he stands tall on the mound, he goes into his wind up the runner takes a bigger lead off first, the batter steps out of the box, the....................................

And for this they get paid millions of dollars and have you buy there ball park on tax money so you can buy a seat and pay $10 for a beer, to watch the guy on first taking a lead the pitcher standing tall on the mound, he wipes his brow with his cap, he adjusts his shirt, he looks for a sign................

Are you kidding me? 160 games each plus the playoffs and world series? How can anyone take any game serious with that many games? The only thing that dulls my glee about baseball ending for the short time it does, is basketball starting which only takes a few months off also. Both are beyond boring.

I could not agree more, Basketball at one time was a good game now its slam dunk, the scores were always over 100 points for each team now there lucky to get 80. Boring.

Now hockey or football, that's exciting. NASCAR is exciting if you understand its more than go fast turn left.

For TV viewing I think bowling and golf and baseball are the worst. OMG. The only time I ever put them of is if I want to take a nap because they can put me to sleep in minutes.

I will always take baseball seriously. It is the one and only American sport. There is nothing like it in the rest of the world. I grew up a baseball fan and I will die a baseball fan.

I may suffer from Curmudgeon's Disease, ("Why, in my day everything was the way it's supposed to be... etc. etc.") but it seem lately all professional sports, no how much gravitas they once had are rapidly morphing into Professional Wrestling. Witness the endless sack dances , the end zone choreography, the taunting, the posturing & posing. Football and basketball are in full pursuit of this, baseball is following. It has been in tennis since the days of Ivan Lendl. Its even beginning to creep into golf, swimming and track and field. And I hate Professional Wrestling.

Yes chilliwilli, we love ya. And I can say that after meeting you in person at a MOM and knowing as soon as I saw that physically fit body of yours, I had no chance with Daughter...😄😄😄
