I thought I would share the rest of my experience with Alcohol injections. After 9 months and 30 injections into my testicles I thought I had done enough damage to warrant their removal. After visiting with 2 different docs and presenting my story to them 2 different ways, one I told the truth about taking Androcur for 2 years to lower my libido and asking him to remove my now useless testicles he said I must be crazy and demanded I stop the meds and start T replacement. Doc #2 I presented my self with Bilateral pain in the testicles, and symptoms of low T and asked if he could find the cause. After ultrasound and several different blood tests he said he was not sure what was happening though he felt the right one definitely had a problem and he would do surgery to look at it and if necessary, remove it. After I pleaded my case and asked if he would remove both testicles due to my fear of them becoming cancerous he said no way and prescribed viagra and T replacement for me. After all this grief and money I just decided to contact DR. Arnkoff and see if he could help me. He was very willing to give me an orchie after a discussion of why and we set a date for Oct. 27th. All was going well. I drove to Detroit, me with the Doc, signed the papers and went to surgery. After he opened the scrotum, he found the testicles were joined to the walls of the scrotum. It took him an extra 20 minutes of cutting and scraping to get them out. He said usually he can open the scrotum and they just pop out, but not mine. I never divulged to the Dr. that I had done the injections so he just assumed it was due to the chem cast meds I have been on for 2 years. The extra trauma to the scrotum has caused extensive swelling even though the Dr. used a drain tube when he closed me up. I am very sure the injections have made my orchie experience much more painful than it needed to be. If I had to do it over again and I new I was going to have an orchie I would have never done the injections. I asked the Dr if a surgeon had tried to remove them through an inguinal approach would they have had the same problem. He said they would have had to open the scrotum and cut them off the scrotum just like he did so I would have had 2 incisions and even more damage to heal. My experience with injections has not been a good one. After 30 injections and being on meds for 2 years, my T levels were still over 300ng/dl. I had hoped the injections would have done more to lover my T levels but apparently I had a very strong set of Testicles. All in all the injections have only made my orchie recovery much worse than it had to be. Just a word to others out there.

for me either. Did you ever get to the point that you could no longer inject anymore, because your testicles had become so hard? Because my left testicle only got like that on about the 24th injection, but my right testicle is still injectable. i was wondering if thats why my T hasnt dropped yet, because my right testicle is compensating. i think i will wait until the right testicle cant be injected anymore, and then get another T test. i wonder why injections didnt work with us?

This is the reason I've recently been revisiting the idea of calcium chloride injections as an alternative.

Many antibiotic chemicals, like alcohol, work well when they can surround a cell. These are very effective on single-celled organisms and can kill 99% of the cells on a single application. However, a multi-celled organism (like a human) the alcohol doesn't get a chance to really surround the cell and disrupt it. That is why it is entirely safe to apply alcohol on our skin -- it kills all the bacteria but pretty much doesn't hurt the skin cells (at least not much).

The calcium chloride is different because it actually disrupts the cells ability to regenerate. It can directly kill the cells of a multi-celled organism.

From the multiple, multiple people here who have gone through dozens of injections, it seems like alcohol injections are slow and uncertain way to go about it. The good thing of course is that besides the issue of making surgical castration more difficult, it seems that the alcohol injections have been relatively safe.

Anyway, it isn't really a mystery why alcohol doesn't cause immediate cell destruction -- it simply isn't effective in that regard for mult-cellular structures.

I was still able to inject both testicles and in fact I injected .8cc into each just 2 weeks before my orchie just to make sure they were done in. At times I did have to remove the needle and reposition it in the testicle so it would take the injection. I am still befiddled as to why my testicles fused themselves to the scrotum but such it is. I only hope no one else has to go through what I did.

was 300ng/dl at least a reduction to what your levels were before?

My T levels were tested before I started Androcur and were at 894 ng/dl. My Doc said I had the T level of an 18 yr old, that was 2 years ago. I had them tested several times in the last 2 years and they were typically in the 300 range. So yes the meds did help lower my levels but I can not say the Alcohol injections did any thing beneficial.

Hoosierdad, I'd send you a personal message but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. I want to ask what you mean by the testicles fusing themselves to the scrotum. I plan to be castrated by Dr. Arnkoff, and I've done many injections and testicle torture, but I don't think mine are fused to the testicles. How can I tell? Could you tell? Did it feel any different?

When Dr. Arnkoff did my Orchie he said he can usually cut open the scrotum and the testicles just pop out. They are kind of floating around in the scrotum attached by the cords. However mine were fused/adhered to the inside of the scrotum. This made removal difficult because he had to cut and scrape to get them out of the scrotum before he could cut the cords and remove the testicle.

I had no idea they were adhered to the scrotum, I could not feel and real difference in the testicle since I started injections other that the fact that they were small and lumpy. My local urologist had done several examinations and he never mentioned anything about them feeling like they were adhered to the scrotum.

I do not have any idea how one could tell if the testicles were normal or not but knowing you have done injections I would have to guess you are at a much higher risk of having similar problems.

bought 100 proof smirnoff vodka 20 bucks...... this is probably as high in proof I will go. Have there been any deaths or tragedies from this method so far....not out to jinx myself or anyone . Keep it safe and clean guys. Don't rush anything, bad gut feeling then stop everything. Waste is better, mess up use a new cup or syringe. Think everything out before you attempt this. Be organized. Say are quick prayer before going at this. Most do 1cc every 15 days. Alcohol pads, dispostable cups , easytouch syringes insulin are what I use. Make sure you use vodka clear no flavor. I usually take a hot shower before and after the injections. Antibacterial soap between the legs. Don't reuse stuff
