Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
I have been injecting for over a year and a half.
About every week or two for the first six months.
Then on and off periodically after that.
I have read of other guys not being able to inject anything.
But I never had that occur to me until today.
No matter where the injection site was, no matter how I rotated the needle, it was impossible to inject any alcohol into my right nut.
As I rotated the tip of the needle around the inside of the nut there was this kind of crunching sound and feeling.
From those two clues I can surmise that my nut is nothing but scar tissue, totally destroyed, not even able to accept any more injections.
A milestone in my progress.
Now most guys would freak out at this.
But they have not lived in my shoes.
Medical science could not lower my testosterone except with caustic expensive drugs.
Due to ultra high testosterone, I needed to have it lowered.
Took me way to long to discover a non caustic way to do it. Alcohol injections.
Not risk free, but moderately acceptable, and fortunately it worked for me with no complications.
But never ever assume that this is a risk free activity. Not so. I was just fortunate.
This is a red letter day. Unable to inject anymore alcohol into my right nut.
and it is the bigger than the left one, which is smaller and still thirsty.
Funny now these things work.

Nullo,
Have you noticed any further evidence of even lower T in your system, now that your testicles appear no longer productive?

Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
Have you used an orchidometer (paper or actual beads) to determine the size of your nuts. My left one has recieved more injections and is around the 8/10 ml size. The right one is around the 14ml. I agree with all your recommnedations. The left one has pulled up the cord seems to have shortned. I am wondering if you can give me an idea of size now that the are small and hard - something I am working towards. Cheers, hogger

Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
Has anyone considered calcium chloride injection instead? I think it has been mentioned before, but there's been a fair bit of veterinary acceptance growing for this over past couple years.
It seems to be more effective than alcohol -- one injection is pretty much a sure thing -- resulting in the testicles reducing to 1/20th the original size!
It is basically just a salt (even edible) but it is very effective at castration (single shot versus multiple for alcohol). There is a decent veterinary literature on this, see: http://www.stray-afp.org/nl/wp-content/uploads/2012…
Here's some videos of them castrating dogs this way: http://vimeo.com/channels/316645
You can order the calcium chloride easily as it is a common food additive used for cheese-making and pickling. Like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Calcium-Chloride-Liquid-2-oz/…
According to the study results the main trick is to use at least 20% solution, and to make sure to infuse the whole testicle by continuing to release the solution as you draw the needle back out.
They claim the pain is not much based on the fact that the dogs don't seem to nurse the wound and also no elevations of cortisol or other markers of stress.

Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
The problem with calcium chloride, is that you need it sterile. There is much less problems here with alcohol, which in workable concentrations kills germs.
And in pharmacy you can get it only in 10% solution. I Looked up the price, 10 ampules 10ml each goes here for about a 1.5 dollars or so.
And even if it is salt, and edible, it is dangerous, when it gets directly into your bloodstream. So same warnings apply as for the ethanol injection.

Well, certainly same precautions as alcohol or other injectibles apply.
However, in terms of it being sterile I don't think that is a problem -- the reason salt is used in pickling is that it does a good job with killing bacteria, and is often used as a mild antiseptic for piercings and other wounds. I'm pretty sure a 30% solution would generally be inherently sterile and in any case just a light boiling or microwaving should be sufficient to get there.

I doubt that it would cause any harm other than to your testicles as long as the dosage is small. Question is, who's going to try it? I did read somewhere it takes about 60 days to work on cats and dogs. That's not a lot, especially if it's just one injection.

This thread is not going to devolve to injectable salt solutions. Let's just let it end now.
