I am now somewhat fearful of doing these injections now
I either wrote it wrong, or something.
The 24 hour a day kicked in the nuts pain was from a bacterial infection that had absolutely nothing to do with injections. That infection occurred over a decade ago before I even knew about injections.
More recently There was some aching pain following the first few injections, but nothing extrodinary. Additional injections caused short term miniimal pain, and eventually no pain at all as the inner contents of each ball became deactivated by the alcohol.
That was just my experience. Someone else may be more sensitive to any amount of pain, or may have a lesser or stronger experience.
On the one hand, it is quite correct to condemn self injection as dangerous and stupid. On the other hand, before there was such a thing as a medical industry, all of society engaged in self medication, mystic medication, experimentation. It is from failed and successful experiments that society learns what works, what to avoid.
For me, alcohol injection turned out to be far less costly, far less painful, far less risky than a surgical operation. However, an operation will probably be eventually required as infarcted testicles have a higher risk of developing internal tumor, benign, or not.
Doing nothing came with a big risk too. Unable to obtain an elective medical castration, life with testosterone was unbearable.
Sans testosterone, life is not just bearable, it is good. I am glad I chose to inject, regardless what anyone else thinks. They are not walking in my shoes.
