After telling my primary doctor that the antibiotic caused the depression and that my testicle lump had been twice as large as before, he referred me to a urologist and I saw the urologist this past Monday. He checked my testicles and had the medical info from my previous ultrasound. He then performed a blood test and I left. I got the results this Thursday and the lump turned out to NOT be cancer. However, the urologist had an ultrasound appointment scheduled for me the exact same day, so I went. Whatever results they're looking for I should receive early next week.
I know this is a bit off-topic, but I want to explain it. After hearing about the emotional numbing effects of Lexapro, among other long-term adverse effects, I've discussed with my psychiatrist to stop taking Lexapro and any other prescription anti-depressants. I'm going with natural anti-depressant supplements for now, when needed. I think the emotional-numbing is part of the reason I've been having some unusual conflicts and troubles for the past year and a half. I'm certainly tapering off my dosage, because stopping Lexapro cold-turkey will give you unbearable withdrawal symptoms, although "Your Mileage May Vary", and I think I'm one of the lucky ones who are slightly immune to Lexapro's withdrawal symptoms. Can't speak too soon though. I've been taking 5-HTP 100 mg every morning in the meantime. It definitely has improved my mood. However, I may need to take 50 mg twice a day instead, because of daytime drowsiness (Some of the 5-Hydroxytryptophan is getting converted into Melatonin instead of Serotonin). I'm down to 10 mg Lexapro for 3 days so far, and want to be careful that I don't get Serotonin Syndrome from 5-HTP interaction, so the lowest effective dosage of 5-HTP would be wise. Okay, I'm rambling a lot here, so I'm gonna end this post. Cheers everyone and good luck!

I'm wondering what I would think if I was your urologist. I mean, I know from my experiences with them that some of these urologists are really suspicious. I had a urologist once tell me, after coming clean and telling him about my testicle abuse, that if the public knew what men did to their genitals it would absolutely amaze them. So I think a lot of urologists are suspicious based upon that statement. However, I know that the alcohol injections must be a real mystery to most. It's hard to detect and harder still to figure out.
179832#post179832 after deciding it wasn't on topic exactly for this thread. I haven't received any replies yet but would appreciate folks to check it and give opinions. It is about testicular atrophy and do different methods mean different things for the testicles...
