Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
Here's a link to a forum where people have experienced depression and suicidal thoughts just days after starting Doxycycline:
http://www.healingwell.com/community/de ... 1&m=662439
Some have even committed suicide.
I posted this because I felt slightly depressed this evening and something told me to Google "Doxycycline" and "Depression", thus coming across that thread. I thought I should share this with anyone who's doctor might consider prescribing them this terrible medicine. I mean, depression and suicidality isn't even listed as one of the possible side-effects. Why hasn't the FDA caught hold of this? Anyway, for your own good, read the thread above before you ever decide to take this, and always read online reviews and research before taking any other drug. I just fell into a slight depression this evening, and I've been taking this medicine for 3 days so far. I mean, depression is nothing new to me, and this depression level is quite withstandable to me compared to the past, but from the comments I've read, the risk of losing my mind/suicide far outweighs the risk of "unnecessary" castration. I don't know whether to stop taking it or to wait it out until it's all used up. I've been increasingly irritable and stressed out and I've even had thoughts of death today. I just don't feel like myself anymore. I wish I could contact my doctor on weekends. If it gets worse tomorrow, I'm quitting this antibiotic crap.
Anyone else had any experience with antibiotics before?

Hey Marcy {{Hugs}}
I can't say I've ever had that reaction from an anti-biotic, but I am allergic to a couple of them. My thoughts depending on how many days left you have to take it is to either:
a) Call the doctors after hours number and page the on-call if they have one
b) If it is only a few days or less left and you are aware enough to not do yourself harm, finish it out.
c) Worst case, go to the ER and see about getting a different med, or stop taking it altogether and talk the the doctor on Monday.

After thoughts of suicide, irritability and being short-tempered today, I decided to stop taking it.

Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
Hello All;
Having been a regular reader of this thread from the beginning but not posting before, my experience with ethyl alcohol has been somewhat different. Previously I had been prescribed Spironolactone and estrogen for several years (m-t-f), but had been off for some time due to finances. The low cost of the alcohol approach seemed attractive and worth a try.
Observing careful sterile technique (standard precautions), I used 10% Povidone iodine solution in addition to a prep pad to clean the area before injecting. I started with 1mL 29 gauge 1/2" insulin syringes and 1 CC dosage of E*clear 151 for each testicle.
In a series of four injections (careful to avoid the cords and epididymis) spaced over two months the results were mixed. Either slight swelling & short duration discomfort for 1-2 days, or significantly, more swelling associated with tenderness and aching for at least a week, sometimes longer. With this was a transient change in texture - from relatively smooth to bumpy and irregular that faded over a few days to a week or so. There was also a rather pleasant calm and reduction in libido.
I decided to wait for sixty days to see if there were any further changes. Generally, both testicles seemed to slowly recover with a concurrent increase in libido. Both testicles had an odd firm rubbery feel and were fairly insensitive though not numb. There was little palpable difference in size(s) from before the first injection, though the texture was slightly coarser with small "bumps".
Hoping for better results and wanting to try a larger 1.5 CC dosage, I used two syringes with 75 units (.75 CC) of E*clear 151 for each testicle. Both testicles swelled by at least 30% and ached for several hours, each was quite sensitive to touch for a week as the swelling slowly went down - nothing too difficult though.
At this point I was able to get an updated physical at a local clinic with scripts for spiro and estrogen (a miracle!), and am giving the meds a chance to work. Seems like a combination of meds and the alcohol might be the best approach next.

Dolciana,
I applaud your descriptive and well researched approach
I applaud your descriptive and well researched approach
if this works, please keep us posted. I wish I would have tried this method, I think it would have saved me a lot of mental anguish and physical trauma, but it's too late for me, I'm already castrated.

Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
I'm still thinking of a former member who died in a "do it yourself" type procedure.
If your transexual why not see a doctor and do this under their care so your safe? I don't understand the cost problems with anti androgens. Spironolactone (For example) is pretty close to dirt cheap without insurance.
I understand some of this may well be that you don't want to talk a doctor about this but I'm quite sure they have heard this many times before and its NOT going to make them freak out that you have GID issues. *At least if you find a doctor / therapist who does this. I think its possible they will be very concerned about patients who are trying to castrate themselves by injecting random boozes into their testicles.
PLEASE reconsider this and talk to a doctor about having this done in a safe and proper manner. If your hell bent on getting this done because you don't want to admit this to your wife / self / friends / doctor etc consider how much worse this would be if you hurt or killed yourself in the process.

ATTENTION: ANYTIME you have thoughts of suicide, run, don't walk, to your physician, a clinic, or the emergency room. They are there to help, not judge. DO IT.

Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
Hi Folks,
I just had my routine visit to the Endochronologist. My T level is now down to 96 and my E level is 44 (Labcorp's scale). The T level is well below normal which was the goal.
I am wondering if the fact that I take Estrogen (Premarin) will suffice as a substitute for the lack of T in terms of other effects on my health (like osteoperousis and so forth). In other words, I am thinking that our bodies need one hormone or the other, but not necessarily both for good health. I have now essentially switched from a dominance of T to a dominance of E.
Again, will the E protect my health as did T in the past? Does anyone know anything about this?
Thanks,
Danielle

Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
There seems to be a lot of misinformation out there. Pay attention to clysmaniac. He knows what he is talking about and has experience, I have been castrated with alcohol injections ( everclear ) over about a four month period. One set of injections a week. Limited pain when injected carefully and slowly. I am now fully castrated and like the result- and the process of being castrated.
