Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
Hi,
My question is this - - - after our testicles are dead from ethanol injections, do we need to have them removed? Is it safe not to have them removed? I believe that my testicles are dead from 10 sets of injections (and will know soon when my endo tests my blood for E and T), but it leaves the question about the safety of keeping dead testes attached to ones body.
Does anyone have any ideas about this subject?

I'm not sure if anybody knows the answer to that question. Cancer is multifactorial; meaning that no one factor causes cancer. You may have a gene that leaves you susceptable to cancer, then it just takes one environmental insult ie. radiation, smoke, tissue damage (possibly injections) that causes a cascade of events leading to cancer. That is why some people smoke until they die at 100 and some 30 or why we all get sunburned as children but some develop melanoma and the rest don't. It is possible that the repetative act of damaging the testicles with alcohol could potentially cause cancer in a susceptable person.
If they are necrosed they could be fertile ground for bacteria to set up an infection which could lead to a severe infection down the road. But I have not seen or heard of anyone complaining of either so far.
Either way... I want mine gone. I don't want the risk and I just don't like them!

Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
I have resumed injections into the left testicle hoping for the same results as the right. I would caution anyone doing this to be extremely sure of what they want because you will end up with dead and non functioning testicles. There is no going back if you do this!

Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
I think there is some misunderstanding on what happens to testicles that have been subjected to numerous injections of alcohol. I injected almost a half liter of 100 proof vodka in mine before switching to Everclear for more
My balls weren't dead- as in a lifeless grey or black color but were a deep red. I had seen numerous pics of human testicles after they were removed which were of a blueish-pink color. I asked my doc if the deep red color was because they were infarcted and he said yes. I had found a pic of an infarcted testicle so I knew what the answer was to my question- I just wanted confirmation.
Infarcted is a medical term that is simply translated into lay language as dead but is more complex. Most commonly, it is used in Myocardial infarction or heart attack. The heart isn't dead as in stopped working but an area of it is damaged. In the case of a testicle, it isn't dead in total but the parts which produce sperm and testosterone have been damaged/destroyed. My doctor didn't consider it imperative that mine be removed any more than a heart surgeon would cut out the damaged area in a heart. We think of dead as being grey and lifelss and going to rot and decay. Infarcted means more non-working for some reason, probably lack of blood flow, than dead.
But my doctor did give me the option to remove them because they were damaged and non-functional and when given several months time, showed no possibility of recovery. And my insurance covered it all so that wasn't an issue. But he never said they absolutely had to be removed.
right before I switched to the Everclear. The pathology report was that my testes were infarcted and atrophied. After another two months of steady Everclear, he decided he would remove them if I agreed. Of course I agreed, that was the point of this all the time. I remained awake during the surgery and got to see my balls, each in a little plastic cup before they were sent off to the pathology lab.

Hi Clysmaniac,
Thanks for the tutorial; it was very imformative and I was not aware of the medical aspects of infarction. But, what you say is quite logical and adds alot to the general understanding of the situation.
Thanks,
Danielle

Re: Ethyl Alcohol Teste Injection
Did my 9th injection into the left one this morning. I am starting to get the same results as the right, hardly no pain when injecting and much less feeling in the testicle itself. I am going slower and using less vodka because the testicle is so much smaller and am not getting as much swelling as I did in the right one. The right one is still hard with no feeling but is not swollen and I believe it has shrunk some as well.

SUCCESS! My surgery (an inguinal orchi) is scheduled for Monday February 1. The current urologist is just bewildered by the condition of my nuts, and I pointed out that the cords can get a bit painful in cold weather, so we decided on removal as a precautionary measure. The sack will remain for now, so I'm going to have to work on getting that removed in the future.
Still...YIPPEE! (jumping up and down)

Have completed 15 rounds of injections. Now I am going to wait and see what happens over the coming months. Hopefully my doctor will discover my hard and raised testicles and start the ball rolling to have them removed.
