We have had a virus hit my work on some of the servers and the powers to be had all of us run this virus program. My pc at work was clean. When I got home this evening I ran it again and it found 18 infected files.
So go to Antivirus.com click on Tools, then Free pc scan.
Who said some things are not free.
Hope this works out for everybody

OK, the direct link to the site Riverwind was talking about is:
http://housecall.antivirus.com/
Another free virus scan utility is available at:
http://security2.norton.com/
Click on the "Scan for Viruses" link, there are a few other utilities for checking you system out on that page also.

Re: Does your PC have a virus?
It's the Klez virus that is causing all the trouble recently.
We use the Norman antivirus software at work and at home (we are allowed to download it if we do work from home) and they have been having a tough time finding and recording all the variants of the Klez virus.
Any e-mail I get from strangers and especially any that has an odd attachment I merely delete without reading. AS far as I know, publishers clearing house does not use e-mail to announce that I won!!!!
Some of my coworkers get daily messages from infected users outside of our system and a few inside who use Microsoft Outlook have been infected. Our e-mail package, Novell Groupwise is an unfriendly beast and Klez can't attack it, yet. But I know people who receive message daily that have been scrubbed of virus.
Scan your computer for viruses with up-to-date scanning software and remember that the assholes who write these virus are invariable one step ahead of the protection.
I know, it's a pain in the ass, but it's necessary.
SIGH!!!
