Evai1234,
Thanks for the further information, which I am giving serious consideration, and I fully realize the immense importance of what we are discussing here.
I have been taking the estrogen tablets as a split dosage but I do, nevertheless, understand your concerns.
Please be assured that I will not make my final decision about the type and dosage of hormone therapy, without proper guidance from my doctor.

If you come across any internet sites that deal with the explanation of the various testosterone measurements, as they are related to blood test results, will you please let me know.
Thanks a lot,
Solaris.

Re: My first test results since HRT
Hi Solaris,
Charlene,
I looked at these protocols and I have to say that each bigger medical center has their own treatment options, and often upper level of hormone dosage is quite arbitrary.
For example these protocols recommend that upper dose of Premarin is 1.25mg. This is quite small dose and I have heard about 2.5mg and bigger doses prescribbed in different medical centers for TS and even for menopausal women. Some books mention premarin doses which are up to 5mg. Also the doses listed in this document are not equivalent to each other. 1.25mg of premarin is equivalent to about 2mg of oral estradiol hemihydrate or 3mg of oral estradiol valerate. Providing the person is able to absorb them equaly well.
Some centers use antiandrogens, while others - do not.
Some doctors (usually private) may prescribe progesterone.

Re: My first test results since HRT
Thanks evai, yet again, for your insight.
Yes, i have to agree there sre so many regimes, itis not an easy or simple thing to follow.
Then again, life was not meant to be easy.....
i have often wondered about progesterone but on balance it seems the jury is out on that being of significant benefit.
I will for the meoment stay on the doses i am currently taking and have another test in a month or two.
One worrying aspect is i have been experiencing occasional spontaneous erections, which i absolutely wish to remove. perhaps i am not taking enough Androcur and should increase for a few weeks
I will think about it ....

Charlene,
Thanks, very much, for the information, which has already told me what I wanted to know. There is a lot within the document, and so I shall continue to ponder over it until I am very familiar with its content.
