All of a sudden last night when I entered Yahoo email I got this message: AVG Search Shield has detected active threats on this page and blocked access for your protection. This came after I signed in and when I am on the screen listing the individual emails. The message was there in both the inbox and spam screens. I tried hotmail and no message.
I shut the computer down. This morning when I fired it up and AVG started its scan, the message was not there the first time I entered Yahoo email. But from the second time on it came up both for inbox and spam. So far, the incomplete scan shows nothing.
Any comments?

Re: AVG and Yahoo Email
I have been getting the same AVG message on some of the sites that I regularly view for the past 2 or 3 days. I do not use Yahoo email. I haven't got an explanation for this yet. --FLO--

Re: AVG and Yahoo Email
Yahoo is an advertising supported service. Look at the URL bar when the AVG warning pops up. You will find that it is reacting to the advertising that is trying to load on your Yahoo page, not Yahoo. Apparently, some of these advertisers are listed as known phishing, spyware, and "social engineering" (In web terms just what the Hell does that mean?) sites. Go ahead and tell your AVG Shield that you want to remain unprotected and let the Yahoo page load, just don't click on any of the advertising on that page, or hit the "back" button and reload the Yahoo page, you will probably get different advertising which is not on the AVG Shield blacklist.
