To Better Understanding

This may be a shade off topic but I hope this archive will indulge me.

In a world where more than 50% of marriages end in divorce maybe it is worthwhile to take a look at one possible idea to reduce the divorce rate with all the misery and unhappiness that divorce entails.

Little girls, even today are being brought up to believe in Prince Charming: the handsome masterful guy who will sweep them up and solve all their problems for them. All they have to do is stay beautiful by using Brand Y and Product X as supplied by their kindly uncle, Big Business and his magic advertising elves.

Most women, by the time they reach their mid 30s are thoroughly disillusioned with men who invariably fail to live up to women's expectations of them.

The reason is of course that the expectations are unrealistic.

Say we were to have classes for girls around puberty that told them the true facts about men? They should be taught that Prince Charming is merely a fantasy for masturbation purposes only. That most guys are horny as hell while they are young and fade rapidly after about 45. That true romantic love as girls see it is seldom part of a man's life experience. Men are always game for novelty however and are apt to fall for any new pretty face that offers herself. It is not so much a character failing, merely that God, nature and/or evolution has designed men that way. Like Jessica Rabbit isn't a slut, that's how she was drawn.

Furthermore, nearly all men, certainly those with any creativity to them, are possessed of a few kinks and weird traits. There is a whole range of such traits: castration and penectomy fantasies, cross-dressing, spanking, cuckolding, sissification, bondage and fetishes to name but a few.

Ironically these traits, which are harmless and sometimes even thoroughly enjoyable, are never discussed in the magazines. The mags tend to dwell on sick perverts who get drunk and beat up their wives, which is no pleasure for anyone. Or bastards who molest little kids or rape or commit other harmful acts of violence.

Because of their ignorance most young women are shocked, appalled and disgusted at their man's kinks, if he is ever brave/stupid enough to tell her about them. From that moment on the marriage is in peril. The rocks of divorce loom and far too many couples needlessly run on to them.

If a woman understood that her man's kinks are normal, harmless and an integral part of him, that a little indulgence of them would give a strong binding effect to her to her marriage, there would be a lot less divorce. The old adage that the guy who gets steak at home ain't goin' out for a hamburger is as true as ever. Perhaps nature puts them there so that a sophisticated wife can get a handle on him?

The time to teach women this is at puberty when they can digest it and assimilate it into their general life skills. At the same time they can be taught to avoid violence and recognise the kind of guy who is likely to beat them up.

Isn't it time we stopped the bull and told it like it is? The world will be a better place when eventually we do.

I think that the whole of modern-day society lives a very illiberal, sanctimonious and unreasonable lie as far as male sexuality is concerned. As Kortpeel suggests, confining most males to the purest of thoughts and to an ideal of a 'family man', devoted in both mind as well as practice to one woman and the straightest of tastes, is completely unrealistic. However, this is nevertheless spouted by moralists, many of whom, as has been proven in scandals, are also hypocrites in that they enjoy their own dark dreams and experiences.

Everybody who has shared knowledge and opinion in this thread so far is a genius;)

I mean after all if a woman were to be given testosterone on a regular basis she would become just exactly like all those guys that she used to think were "oafish" and "vulgar"...."perverted"......."disgusting" (probably)

Women in a lot of ways have it extremely easy compared to men also. I remember going to school on the west coast of the U.S. and having to defend myself on at least a WEEKLY basis if not a daily one.......just because I was a male. How many women can say that they got used to walking down the hallway of their school and became programmed to automatically take a swing at ANYBODY that got close enough for them to touch......just so they could get in the first strike. My town where I lived was populated by people who either had an attitude that was equal to Stone Cold Steve Austin or worse than him

Everybody I grew up with thought that the greatest fun there was to have was to either kill or beat the hell out of anybody that even dressed differently than them. Except for the girls that is of course. They were always protected no matter which male was the victor in the fight. Not a single month went by that didn't see me out in the 35 degree below zero weather after school fighting desperately just for the right to walk home..........so I could get up the next morning and walk to school in the freezing desloate weather and do it all over again After a few broken ribs....broken noses......teeth missing you'd think the people would learn not to mess with the person that did that to them..........but not true As soon as they would heal (if the healed) they would track me down and start it all over again.....they thought is was fun.

All I can say to any Female who reads this is "Be glad that you are a girl" When someone perpetrates an act of violence against a woman, society gets all riled up and brings that person to justice.....which is good. Too bad it isn't the same for guys though.

I mean if was that way for us guys...who knows....there probably would be alot more "prince charmings" out there. They say that when you beat a dog it becomes MEAN Well the same thing is true for humans as well. Just like the opposite is true also. You can tame a mean dog by being nice to it and feeding it and sticking up for it against its enemies......In which case the poor creature usually becames fiercely protective of you in turn and would gladly lay down his happiness and even life just to return the favor if necessary.



Basically it all comes down to the rule that You get out of life three times as much as you put into it.......of whatever you put into it. So Girls if you want to find prince charming then just take a willing male who (however faulted may be) loves you and put out a little EFFORT!!!! and shape him into your idea of what Mr. Right should be like..........otherwise spend your entire life wondering why you have such bad luck with men
