Just wanted some of you eunuchs and wannabee's to understand what might happen if you do not use any testosterone for an extended period of time.
I have been low dosing with a compounded testosterone for a few years, I try to maintain a testosterone level of about 150-200. Normal "t" levels for intact men is any were from 300-1100ml's or more. Something started to happen to me that I didn't think could happen and it might not happen to all eunuchs. I can no longer increase my testosterone levels. My body rejects testosterone in larger amounts, making me sick. My doctor thinks that eventually I'll need to stop using testosterone altogether, which will be o.k. with me as long as I don't experience depression, which is the main reason I low dose. I suppose I could try some different depression meds, but I'm not sure I want to at this time. I have been able to get erections in the past because my testosterone has been higher than true eunuchs, but recently getting an erection has been increasingly difficult, and I just don't really care. My wife doesn't care much either and I have no motivation to pursue a medical means of restoring my erections. I'd rather get rid of my penis since it doesn't serve much of a purpose. It's limp and small and useless. It doesn't even have much feeling. I suppose this is due in part to an increase of estrogen, but I don't know for sure.

Re: Testosterone rejection
I find is strange because I take no HRT of any kind and my T level is 0 but I can still get an erection. Somehow I don't that should be possible and it does not happen often but it does, I get a full hard on, I am not sure what I should do with it when it happens and it goes away after a little while but damn.

Re: Testosterone rejection
Thanks for the info Hash. You don't have to worry about me! As long as I can afford it I won't stop unless it becomes medically necessary!!!

Re: Testosterone rejection
I've had this happen with the kind of testosterone you get from a pharmacy nowadays. It is poorly made and very impure. It causes my head to pound and my ankles to swell, raises my blood pressure, etc. On blood tests it also raises liver enzymes, my DHT and estrogen levels sharply, which makes me feel icky. I get my HRT from a very good compounding pharmacist now, who makes it up from very pure material and I feel great. Plus no negative influence on blood tests.

Re: Testosterone rejection
Doc you've brought up something for me to consider. Perhaps it's the type of "t" I'm using. Well, now I don't know what to do. I don't want to raise my "t" levels, but I'm not quite ready to give up on "t" altogether.

Re: Testosterone rejection
A few years ago I was taking Testosterone propitiate injections (forgive my spelling) I started knotting up at the injection site, doctor said to rub it in so I did and Man my whole cheek swelled up, the knot was one inch thick. So I went to the Emergency room they said I was allergic to testosterone, someone told me it could be the Oil base or the Currier so I switched from Sesame-seed Oil to a cottonseed oil base I also had to lower the potency from 200 to 1 ML to 100 to 1 ML injections and just took 2 ML injections and it cleared up hope this helps...

Testosterone Propionate does that. I can't believe they were so ignorant at the hospital. There's mainly two reasons for it. The main one is at a high concentration (for Propionate 200mg/ml is very high) , most makers of it use Benzyl Alcohol to keep the concentration that high. And Benzyl Alcohol washes away in the blood, leaving the over concentrated testosterone left to form crystals inside the muscle tissue. (ouch) The lesser cause is simply the propionate ester itself, even without crystallizing. BTW, where on Earth did you find pharm grade Propionate at 200mg/ml? As far as I know, it's never made that high. (pain) Actually, if Ethyl Oleate is used as the carrier oil, and it can't in the USA because it's not approved, but is used in Europe, that stuff is like magic. 400mg/ml Cypionates and 200mg/ml Propionates can be made that are 100% painless. God bless Europe...

The Testosterone Propionate had the Sesame-seed Oil base then the doctor switched to Testosterone Cypionate (cottonseed oil base) and that worked a lot better
