hard to get in volume?

You implying that if I start hrt with my hair short it may not grow much if at all?

Im really confused how my hair will turn up.

ATM my hair is impossible to grow long or else it ends up very wavy aka a mix between my moms fine straight hair and my dads jew fro. LMAO

(think micheal cera's hair or mark zuckerbergs except less curlier but wavier.its hard to describe and gets to that point if i grow my hair really long)

Oh no it will definitely grow. I can almost sit on mine. Estrogen keeps it in the anagen phase a little longer.

Volume is how "big" your hair looks. Before HRT my hair used to look so thick and wavey. It used to go everywhere. Now it's a fair bit straighter and it's not because I've lost any! Part of that is possibly the extra length I've got now weighing it down but part is because it's so fine. It breaks a little easier now too although it still cuts through my nails if I'm not careful so it's very strong.

They say the cross section of your hair changes. So if it's curly now it might go to wavey and wavey might go to straight.

Do you think this might be better in a different thread Foxytaur? You could ask a mod to split it if they'd do that?

Sorry I didn't mean to embarass you just don't want to piss anyone off!

Plus I seem to be the only on commenting on all this now. If you had separate threads you might get some more opinions :)

Perhaps your sis is trying to talk you out of getting a hairstyle she doesn't want you to get? You hair sounds really lovely although I know that doesn't help if it doesn't do what you want it to do!

I find the two of you saying "I'm sorry" to each other to be endearing. --FLO--

Lifelong problem Flo :)

Regarding the link Butcherbaby posted I wonder if it has something to do with feeling better on HRT and then wondering why you're making such drastic alterations to your life and throwing so much away. You know some days I'm stood in the kitchen in my dressing gown and think I don't need any more, I'm content now, I'm happy with what I've got. And then Inhouse delivers late or my jaw looks big or I get treated like a bloke and I totally freak out. I wonder if it just has more to do with feeling and thinking so much better on HRT?

Had a bad year and just started a new med so I'm sorry if I've upset anyone!

Wow, this is something I didn't know already. My hair is really thick and wavy, and that's been a major factor against my growing it out fully.

In some ways it's annoyed me a bit, I miss it being really thick, but the texture is much nicer :)

If you do choose to grow it out before HRT I hope you're pleasantly surprised. Once you get past the stage where there's not enough weight to hold it down you can get a proper mane with hair like that! I miss mine. It was a pain to brush though :)
