Re: Harry Potter and the Secret of the Golden Unicorn
All right, the last three chapters are submitted, the story is done, I can get back full time to schoolwork. I didn't think it would take this long to finish editing.
If anyone has managed to follow along to the end thank you, I know it was a long story but I hope you found it interesting, and maybe a bit of a change from the usual shorter stories here. Thanks to Paolo and Slammr for their patience and willingness to accept such a long story, and work to post it.

Credit for the bulk of this one goes to Slammr.

Re: Harry Potter and the Secret of the Golden Unicorn
I faithfully followed the story from the beginning and just finished reading the last chapter X3
That was definitely an amazing story, very well written, and i enjoyed it thoroughly. You kept to the harry potter feel really well, and i apprieciated the more adult take on the series. All the twists and turns kept me interested and not once did i guess what was going to happen next. Very good job, Lord Wrackspurt, very good job ^^ Thank you for that amazing contribution. I for one actually appreciate the fact that it wasn't all centered on the more violent aspects that the majority of the stories have.
Again, awesome job, and I hope to read more stories in the future ^^

Thanks again, I'm glad you enjoyed it. There is a "sequel" story I started work on last summer but had to drop for lack of time. The part at the end about the dark-eyed, raven haired girl getting on the train with James Albus, which I hope I left enough hints who she is, is an interesting character, and she plays a major part in setting up that story.

Yeah, i can be slow on the uptake sometimes, so i know i should be able to figure out who she is, or at least whose daughter she is, but it eludes me XD i should re read her descript and maybe it will hit me
ETA~ Yup, like i thought, i just needed to re read it and think about what happened in a past chapter to place it XD i know who the girls dad is X3

Re: Harry Potter and the Secret of the Golden Unicorn
It took a moment after reading for me to clue in on just who her father is. Once I got it I was wondering just why such a child might be created in the end, and if she might be as depraved as her father was.
I could give it away, but I won't.
Should be an interesting read just like the last story. I look foreward to it

Re: Harry Potter and the Secret of the Golden Unicorn
Hate to say it, but I got rather irritated by all those Harry Potter things cluttering up the left-hand-side of my EA logon home page.
How many was it? Fifty or more chapters?
Go on. Tell me it was an excellent story! And perhaps it was. But the original Harry Potter stories were kids' stories, and I'm old. Nothing was going to persuade me to read about the Secret of the Golden Unicorn.
Is there a way to refine the 'new postings' list on the left hand side of the EA home page?
Could it have, say, subdirectories for [a] non-English submissions, and stories that have multiple episodes?
Just a suggestion ....

It wasn't intended to be terribly difficult to figure it out to the careful reader. But, no she isn't depraved, or evil; and she isn't the villianess of the story, but she is a major focal point for events to revolve around her. I wouldn't be that predictable like a "B" movie script.
I may work on it some more if I get time, I like the idea that i have to create all new characters for this. That is a good learning experience for a writer. Many times I have started a book and lost interest because the characters weren't interesting. So if I go back to it I'll be doing it to learn character development. The reason I did Golden Unicorn was just to see if I really could write a novel length story and have it make sense. I never intended anybody else to read it at first, I figured it was too smutty and perverted. Then I gradually found there were a bunch of us out there!
And for those irritated by my "littering" their inbox with my smutty/perv scribblings, they can rest easily now. My "skills" are only being used on term papers and end of semester work for the foreseeable future. If anything in the near future I'll post the second part of Vae Victis, if I get it finished after Christmas break. I've also thought about a HP/HEX crossover with Harry meeting up with Ella Dee.
On a final note, I do think that I may qualify to hold the current record for the longest story submission on EA. According to the MSWord version of the whole story as I originally had it formatted, it is a little over 400,000 words. I don't think I've seen anything that long here (although there are several that long or longer on the regular HP FF boards).
Paolo might be able to confer the official decision on that matter.

You have a ways to go to catch up with some of the works of Pueros
