post-castration-increased sex drive, frustration?

Hi,

I know I wrote a similar post months ago but the problem never resolved itself with time. I was castrated almost a year ago and still to this day am more constantly horny than before the procedure. Whats bad now is that although I can reach orgasm, it often takes hours and given my addictive nature I've literally have gone 8 plus hours trying to 'finish'.

I realize my drug use are probably contributing but I'm seriously more wound up sexually now than before the op and really no difference in the drug use (I'm working on the drug issues).

The worst part is after I finally 'finish' I feel so exhausted (lack of sleep, dehydration, hours of poly drug abuse) and utterly worthless ( messing up my work / sleep schedule, wasted hours, days, weeks, months now).

Any Insight? I heard there was sometimes a condition post-castration that caused people to feel like they needed to come. It might have been prostatitis?

It sounds like things are very difficult for you at this time.

Sometimes one has another effect than the other however you may be feeling effects more with time is my assumption.

I do hope that you can get some help with trying to solve things and figure everything out.

Please don't be offended, but it sounds as though you may have some type of mental dysfunction, though, as you say, the drugs you're taking might be the problem. Have you been tested for obsessive compulsive disorder. If not, I'd go get tested just to see and make sure. The use of certain drugs contribute to mental disorders. I've had bouts of obsessive compulsion where I couldn't stop thinking and doing sexual type things, but castrated alleviated my obsessive compulsions. Today I don't have any overwhelming sexual compulsions or desires. Rarely do I even think about sex. As a eunuch, you should not be experiencing what you're experiencing, unless as you say, drugs are messing things up.

Hi Kristen. It's good to see you posting here again. Welcome back!

What are you taking in the way of hormones at the moment? What were you taking before surgery? For many born-male transpeople, testosterone does not appear to play the same role in libido as it does in cis-males.

At the moment, I take 50 ug of ethinyl estradiol per day (and I am nine months post-orchiectomy). This gives me a strong sex drive.

For six months before surgery, I was taking 35 ug of ethinyl estradiol and 52 mg of cyproterone acetate per day. This gave me a weak sex drive.

Before that, I did not take any hormones, and as far as I am aware, I had male levels of testosterone. This gave me an intermediate sex drive.

It seems that estrogen strengthens my sex drive, cyproterone significantly weakens it (probably through its progestogenic action) and testosterone modestly weakens it.

I don't know whether any of the above is relevant to you. Also, other medications (and recreational drugs) can affect sex drive, as can mood.

Thank you for the insight. I'm really trying to figure this out. It would be great to have no sex drive. I should have none, there's nothing left to take.

as far as hormones just on a .1mg/week estrodial patch.

Maybe you should ask your physician if you can increase your estrogen or possibly progesterone.

That's wild that your drive would be that high without testosterone. If I taper off on my T I simply lose interest and ability within a week or so.

I have the same problem reaching orgasm. When I'm on regular doses of HRT I have a strong drive and ability but it takes forever to get over the top.

I've said this before, I can only assume this is why women of old liked virile eunuchs. They could last for hours.

Being a genetic girlpuppy I cannot speak from experience nor will such ever the case, but I did read that men can have a psychic reaction, a rebellious one(?), to being castrated that causes them to try to prove they can still "get it up and off", so to speak.

Two of "my" eunuchs, Barry and Houston Eunuch #1, admitted that they masturbated at the first post-castration opportunity and did so at least daily for some time thereafter. Barry said he masturbated within an hour after the last stitch was taken. H.E.#1 told me he gingerly fondled his peepee on the ride home from his castration and masturbated to orgasm (with the help of the woman who provided the transportation) moments after arrival at her home and was sucked to a second orgasm, by her, a few hours later. That sounds risky to me but he said she placed a clean cloth saturated in some sort of disinfectant over his groin and drew his peepee through a hole therein. I definitely agree! The frustrating thing about HRT is:

having more T than a high school football team, plenty of desire and pink steel and yet total inability to finish the act. You can easily become exhausted from repeated attempts to come. Orgasm (although coming so very, very close) remains just out of reach. Like mythical Sissyphus and the rock. Realization that you are not only physically, but also now mentally a total eunuch rapidly becomes evident.

It is much easier accepting the conditions of castration when you are on low or no hormones.
