Thanks for the post, Yoli. I know this makes me an old fart, but that is a style of song you just don't see anymore. Don't tell anybody, but one of my favorites growing up was Gogi Grant "The Wayward Wind," which has sort of the same sound to it. You reminded me of it. I found it on YouTube and heard it for the first time in years if not decades.

Does this really happen? If it does, why?

I happened to remember a group in times past that played in Reno and were something like the New Sons of the Pioneers. They had a humorous song about the wind was called Maria - except the wind was bean generated. I was looking for it and instead found this;

I know that Pyrex does not expand much with heat. (I once had two Pyrex bowls stuck together. I put ice and salt in the top one. I put the bottom one in hot water. I thought thermal expansion would make them come apart. It did not.) I wonder if it would be practical to make windshields out of Pyrex.

This was one of the funniest threads started in a while. Texas does have some nice cities but they are few and far between.
Texas demographically is more like California than any other state.
So not laughing that hard,

There are many songs about Texas, but there are two that I really like, the first is Glen Campbell's "Galveston." Watching this video really makes me wish I could make a time machine and go back to 1970. Oh well, at least I have the video from back then. Yoli, is that YOU in this video?
And the second is Marty Robbin's "El Paso.:

The singer, Harve Presnell, passed away within the last few months. If you saw that gory kidnap/murder movie, "Fargo", you may recall that he played the owner of the car dealership whose son-in-law arranged the kidnap and killing of his daughter and that he too was murd
